    Stinger for Sue!

Brooke Halliday advances to Deepti Sharma's last delivery and clouts the ball straight at umpire Sue Redfearn, striking her in the rib cage.

She doesn't seem to be especially hurt, while she's also saved India three runs.

Izzy Gaze plays best when she is playing with touch and timing. She likes clever cricket shots rather than smashing it over the boundary.

  3. NZ 219-5published at 37 overs

    Need 106 from 42 balls

Pratika Rawal powerfully sweeps Pratika Rawal to the ropes, moving to 36 from 30 balls.

Gaze and Halliday have both impressed here, but the task in front of them is just too great.

Brooke Halliday has really got into her work now. It is as if India are letting the game pass them by and not looking for wickets.

  5. NZ 211-5published at 36 overs

    Need 114 from 48 balls

For the second over in a row, Brooke Halliday finishes with a boundary.

She lifts Shree Charani tidily through mid-off.

A big over for New Zealand. Brooke Halliday really took advantage of the off-spin in that over.

India's bowlers have been expensive at the death.

  7. 6 runs

    NZ 204-5published at 35 overs

    Need 121 from 54 balls

And Brooke Halliday chips in with a six, bringing up New Zealand's 200 and the 50 partnership off 42 balls.

She lofts the ball over mid-wicket - that's 16 off the over, and for once the required run-rate drops a tad.

13.80 to 13.44 runs an over - easy from here!

It is all happening out there. Kranti Gaud does loads of hard work to get round to it but she palms it over the boundary.

It does look like India will win but there will be some things they need to think about.

  9. NZ 197-5published at 34.4 overs

    Four with an assist!

Izzy Gaze cracks Deepti Sharma out to mid-wicket, where a diving Kranti Gaud gets a hand on the ball on its way to the boundary sponge.

That's very close to a six, and had it been called as such then it would have been Gaud's intervention that helped the ball make the distance, but the umpires judge that it just about touched the ground before making the rope.

Gaze then adds four more from the next ball, reverse sweeping through point.

  10. NZ 187-5published at 34 overs

    Need 138 from 60 balls

Izzy Gaze starts Kranti Gaud's over with consecutive fours, firing the ball through mid-on and then scooping it to the fine leg ropes.

Just one more run off the remaining four deliveries though.

  11. NZ 178-5published at 33 overs

    Need 147 from 66 balls

A couple more singles for New Zealand, sweeping and reverse sweeping.

Deepti Sharma appeals for lbw for both of them, but as Steven Finn says on our radio commentary, you can't get lbw when it comes off the middle of the bat.

    NZ 176-5

    Oooof, that's very close.

The third umpire has decided that Izzy Gaze just about has to be given the benefit of the doubt, and the New Zealand batter survives.

That looks out. Jemimah Rodrigues has a beaming smile on her face - that can only mean one thing.

  14. Umpire reviewpublished at 32.2 overs

A four for Izzy Gaze, but has she now been run out?

She reverse sweeps Deepti Sharma and a diving Radha Yadav manages to give the ball extra impetus to send it on its way to the ropes.

Gaze then tries a sharp single to Jemimah Rodrigues at mid-wicket, with the fielder swooping onto the ball and breaking the non-striker's stumps with a direct hit.

The umpires are going to take a look at this.

That is exactly what Brooke Halliday is looking for all the time. Kranti Gaud was trying to clear ground but could not get there.

Sneh Rana has been slightly expensive today.

  16. NZ 171-5published at 32 overs

    Need 154 from 72 balls

Well, it's still not enough, but it is something from Brooke Halliday.

She hits Sneh Rana for two fours in the over with two shots through mid-wicket.

She then tries to come back for a second run off a push in a similar area but is sent back by Izzy Gaze - a dive back into the crease is required, and had the throw been directly over the stumps she might have been in trouble.

  17. NZ 161-5published at 31 overs

    Need 164 from 78 balls

And a couple more singles as Deepti Sharma returns.

New Zealand need more than two runs a ball now, two an over isn't going to cut it.

  18. NZ 159-5published at 30 overs

    Need 166 from 84 balls

New Zealand singles book-end four dot balls from Pratika Rawal.

Simply not enough for Sophie Devine's side, who need a win to stay in contention for the semi-finals.

  19. NZ 157-5published at 29 overs

    Target 325

One more single for Brooke Halliday, pulling to mid-wicket.

The required run-rate is up to 11.20 - New Zealand are currently going at 5.41.

    NZ 156-5

    There's Brooke Halliday's half-century!

She sweeps Shree Charani down to long leg and a misfield allows her to come back for two and her 50.

    It comes from 59 deliveries.
