    Hants 211-3 v Essex 16-2

Well Sonny Baker is enjoying his first over with a second wicket that sees Jordan Cox head back to the Pavilion.

The Hawks are looking good here, Baker has been superb in the Blast and County Championships this season.

After Andrew Neal's catch, Baker jumps into the air with a now trademark fist-pump and roar.

Andrew Neal with the safe pair of hands there.

In the end Jordan Cox has given Neal catching practice.

    It's all going Hampshire's way.

  3. Postpublished at 1 over gone

Somerset 8-0 chasing 162 to beat Yorkshire

Will Smeed ends a decent first over for Yorkshire with the first Somerset boundary, pulling Hassan Ali all the way over the legside cushion for six.

Hassan Ali has played for enough counties against Will Smeed and should know he cannot bowl there to Smeed.

  4. Postpublished at 2 overs

    Hants 211-3 v Essex 16-2

Two wickets and two boundaries from that Sonny Baker over.

Runs they can spare, the wickets are precious and Essex are reeling.

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16 overs

    Charlesworth c Zaib b Harrison 68 (Glos 126-7 v Northants)

Gloucestershire's innings is petering away. Ben Charlesworth mistimes one from Calvin Harrison to give Saif Zaib an easy catch.

A great knock from Charlesworth but it doesn't look likely to be enough.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 1.4 overs

    Cox c Neal b Baker 4 (Hants 211-3 v Essex 15-2)

    Two for Sonny Baker!

Jordan Cox hits his first ball for four and then just guides Baker into the hands of Andrew Neal.

Disaster for Essex as Charlie Allison joins Michael Pepper.

  7. Postpublished at 18:06 BST 15 July

Somerset 0-0 chasing 162 to beat Yorkshire

Interestingly it was AJ Tye who seemed to be leading the team talk in the huddle as Yorkshire walked out to start their defence, not Jonny Bairstow.

Hassan Ali takes the first ball to Will Smeed.

  8. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 1.2 overs

    Walter c & b Baker 10 (Hants 211-3 v Essex 11-1)

    Just what Hampshire wanted.

Paul Walter sends Sonny Baker to the backward point boundary before rocking back and pulling the next one straight up and the bowler follows through to take the catch.

    Jordan Cox strides out.

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15.2 overs

    Hammond b Scrimshaw 0 (Glos 124-6 v Northants)

Gloucestershire are struggling to give Ben Charlesworth support. Miles Hammond lasts two balls before trying to make room only to be bowled by George Scrimshaw.

  10. Postpublished at 1 over

    Hants 211-3 v Essex 7-0

Paul Walter drives Chris Wood's first ball to the long-on boundary.

Essex need a very good Powerplay here.

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.3 overs

Dhariwal run out 9 (Glos 120-5 v Northants)

Terrible mix up by the Gloucestershire batters.as Kamran Dhariwal is two thirds down the pitch before being sent back by Ben Charlesworth.

Wicketkeeper Lewis McManus chases the ball, throws to Ricardo Vasconcelos who lobs it to bowler Calvin Harrison to complete the run out.

Surely not enough runs for Yorkshire? Just one run between Bairstow and Moeen Ali is disappointing from two former internationals.

Liam Patterson-White smokes his first ball straight over long-on for a maximum!

A single off his second and then from the last ball of the innings, Jack Haynes pulls a low full toss out to cow corner for four, with Surrey forced to have an extra player in the circle after missing the cut-off point.

Haynes walks off 75 not out from 55 balls, a superb knock that has set Surrey a very stiff target on this surface.

A Brown Caps batter will have to perform a similar job if they are to reach 164.

    Hants 211-3 v Essex 0-0

A daunting run chase is about to get under way for Essex.

Paul Walter and Michael Pepper are the opening batters who need to get them off to a good start.

Chris Wood will open the bowling for Hampshire.

  15. 'Somerset should be favourites'published at 17:58 BST 15 July

    Yorkshire 161-9 v Somerset

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

I think even though 162 would take a bit of getting, I think Somerset ought to regard themselves as favourites.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19.3 overs

    Howell c Lawrence b T Curran 19 (Notts 152-6 v Surrey)

Notts are called for one short on the first ball of the final over. You don't see that very often!

And Benny Howell departs as he slaps one to extra cover. But that is a more-than-useful 19 off nine balls.

  17. End of Yorkshire inningspublished at 20 overs

    Yorkshire 161-9 v Somerset

AJ Tye battingImage source, Getty Images

Beautiful start from Yorkshire's number 11 Jafer Chohan, another bowler showing the batters how to do it with the willow.

A short ball pulled and placed perfectly for four between the legside sweepers. Chohan even manages a straight one off the inevitable angry, quick full toss next ball too.

Hassan Ali goes offside to whip four past Tom Kohler-Cadmore at fine leg too.

The Tykes do bat their overs, but the batters, bar Adam Lyth, did not perform, needing the bowlers to get some respectability to this total and attempt to pull a rabbit out of a hat next innings.

    Somerset clinical in the field.

  18. 'How significant is home advantage for Notts?'published at 17:56 BST 15 July

    Notts 150-5 v Surrey

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

I just wonder how significant home advantage is for Notts here.

We've got a team that is used to playing at one of the smaller grounds in the country, even though the boundaries are pushed out today, against a side playing at The Oval which is one of the biggest.

  19. Outrageous stop from McSweeneypublished at 13 overs

    Glos 107-4 v Northants

Ben Charlesworth has surely hit his fourth six. But Nathan McSweeney stretches himself behind the rope to parry the ball back in.

Ridiculous from McSweeney and Charlesworth only gets a single.

  20. Postpublished at 19 overs

    Notts 150-5 v Surrey

Chris Jordan is a good man to have bowling the penultimate over.

Three singles from the first four balls.

But when he goes short to Benny Howell, the batter gets enough to get it over mid-wicket to bring up the 150.

Jordan finishes with fine figures of 3-22.
