    Vasconcelos c Charlesworth b de Lange (Northants 80-1 v Glos 152)

Ricardo Vasconcelos drives Marchant de Lange straight to mid-on and Gloucestershire have their first wicket although Northants have also lost Chris Lynn at least for now, The Australian retired hurt after being hit on the toe.

Northants are six runs behind where Gloucestershire were at the halfway stage of their innings. But the away side struggled from here and the Steelbacks remain favourites.

  2. 'What a bit of fielding'published at 19:18 BST 15 July

    Notts 163-6 v Surrey 128-3

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

What a bit of fielding that was!

McCann the 12th man. One-handed pick up and throw, had one stump to aim at and knocked it clean out of the ground as Jason Roy came back for the second.

A huge moment in the game.

  3. Postpublished at 16 overs

    Notts 163-6 v Surrey 128-3

Ollie Pope gets off the mark with a well-guided four to fine leg. Much needed.

Suddenly Surrey's route to the winning line does not look so easy as they require 36 from 24 balls.

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 18 overs

    Thain c Cartwright b Currie 10 (Hants 211-3 v Essex 119-9)

The end is nigh for Essex.

Noah Thain swings one into the air off Scott Currie and Hilton Cartwright does the rest.

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.2 overs

Gregory c Tye b Hassan Ali 22 (Somerset 82-8 chasing 162 to beat Yorkshire)

Somerset's last top six batter Lewis Gregory is caught trying to pull Hassan Ali (2-15).

Riley Meredith has hit his first ball for six a couple of times in the Blast, but Somerset need a lot more than that now.

Craig Overton is 10* off seven alongside him.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15.4 overs

Roy run out (sub McCann) 76 (Notts 163-6 v Surrey 123-3)

Jason Roy slashes at Mohammad Amir's first ball and it goes off two fielders and he picks up four.

But now then, Roy is gone!

Australian Josh Philippe pushes one out to leg and he and Roy go quickly for the first and go for a second.

But it'a superb piece of fielding from sub Freddie McCann running in, as his direct hit has the finger going up.

  7. Baker in red-hot formpublished at 19:12 BST 15 July

    Hants 211-3 v Essex 115-8

    Dan George
    BBC Sport at Utilita

Sonny Baker loved that, screaming to the heavens after bowling Shane Snater and collecting his fifth wicket of the evening.

If Hampshire do well at Finals Day on Saturday then there is no doubt that he will play a key role for the Hawks, he's red-hot right now.

Baker finishes his final over and gets a big hand from the supporters in here.

  8. 'Baker's bowled intelligently'published at 19:12 BST 15 July

    Hants 211-3 v Essex 115-8

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

That's the first time Sonny Baker has taken five wickets in a T20 game. He's playing his 32nd match here this evening.

He's bowled quick and he's bowled intelligently.

  9. Postpublished at 15 overs

    Notts 163-6 v Surrey 117-2

A very tidy over from George Linde as he finishes with 2-23 from his allotted spell.

Those wickets have kept Surrey honest and slowed up the procession to victory.

It's now 47 off five overs.

  10. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 8 overs

Northants 68-0 chasing 153 to beat Gloucestershire

To be fair it's a very sharp chance but Gloucestershire need to grab any opportunity they can.

Dawid Malan, in the covers, can't quite get his hands on a drive from Ricardo Vasconcelos who moves on to 41.

  11. Postpublished at 17 overs

    Hants 211-3 v Essex 115-8

Noah Thain shows some resistance with a boundary off Sonny Baker.

The Hampshire paceman finishes with 5-24 from his four overs.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.2 overs

    Lawrence c Howell b Linde 3 (Notts 163-6 v Surrey 113-2)

George Linde strikes in successive overs for Notts!

Dan Lawrence had struggled to get in and when he tries to go inside out to loft one down the ground, he is well caught at long-off low down by Benny Howell.

Jason Roy remains the prized wicket though, unbeaten on 70.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.2 overs

    Snater b Baker 1 (Hants 211-3 v Essex 110-8)

    Five wickets for Sonny Baker.

Shane Snater has struggled to get bat on ball and gets nothing on a straight one.

It is a first 5-fer in T20 cricket for Baker.

Charlie Bennett is the next in the firing line.

  14. ouch!

Lynn retires hurtpublished at 6.2 overs

Northants 50-0 chasing 153 to beat Gloucestershire

Just after bringing up the 50-partnership with Ricardo Vasconcelos, Chris Lynn hobbles off.

He'd been knocked to the ground after being hit on the toe by a Duan Jansen delivery.

Lynn is the only batter to have scored two centuries in the competition this season and Northants will be hoping he recovers in time for Saturday's Finals Day if they make it there.

  15. Postpublished at 14 overs

    Notts 163-6 v Surrey 112-1

    Is that a chance?

It would be a one-in-a-million catch for Liam Patterson-White as Jason Roy guns it straight through his hands and down to the boundary.

It's nine from the over with Surrey needing 52 from the last six overs.

  16. Postpublished at 16 overs

    Hants 211-3 v Essex 109-7

We have four overs remaining but we have known the outcome for a while now.

    Very impressive from Hampshire today.

James Fuller finishes with 2-24 from his four overs.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 11.5 overs

    Sams c Tye b van Beek 0 (Somerset 59-7 v Yorkshire)

Start the car. To Edgbaston Saturday Yorkshire fans.

Somerset have come from nowhere in so many Blast knockout games to win, but without clutch bat Sean Dickson, Ben Green or even Tom Abell in this line-up this looks even above Lewis Gregory and Craig Overton's career CV.

Dan Sams swung mightily hard at thin air the previous ball and this one just chips to mid off much like Thomas Rew did earlier.

  18. Postpublished at 13 overs

    Notts 163-6 v Surrey 103-1

That wicket does make a difference as Surrey only pick up two runs from the over after the loss of Laurie Evans.

The target is 61 off seven overs.

  19. Postpublished at 15 overs

    Hants 211-3 v Essex 104-7

A wicket and three runs from Sonny Baker's third over.

    He has 4-18.

This has been a procession for the home side.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 12.1 overs

    Evans c Patterson-White b Linde 40 (Notts 163-6 v Surrey 101-1)

Laurie Evans backs away to try to hit George Linde through the offside, but he only picks out the man at short extra cover.

A nice supporting knock from Evans with Jason Roy, but that offers a smidgeon of hope for Notts.
