That's such a shame for the USA. It's hit hard and firm but it's chest height. The fielder would have expected to catch that, you can't give India too many opportunities like that.

  6. dropped catch

Kishan dropped on 10published at 4.3 overs

USA will surely pay the price for these dropped catches.

Ishan Kishan drives Ali Khan on the up to backward point but it pops in and out of Shubham Ranjane's hands.

    That's a bread-and-butter chance. Khan is fuming.

Try saying that with the voice of the late great Sir Sean Connery.

The depth that India have is just crazy so the batters at the top of the order can bat with complete freedom so it moves that marker of what you think a par score is.

It didn't feel like Tilak Varma got in on the first instance. He had to reach for the ball, so it's not a clean connection, but it's clear of the rope by a distance.

  12. 6 runs

    Ind 15-1published at 2.1 overs

Tilak Varma dances down the pitch to Saurabh Netravalkar.

It's not come out of the meat of the bat and goes very high, but has just enough legs on it to get over the rope.

  13. Ind 9-1published at 2 overs

Excellent start from Ali Khan, who touched 90mph in that over, and USA overall.

Tilak Varma the new batter for India.

It almost looked like a shot of somebody who didn't notice there was a fielder there because he hit it with such confidence.

Abhishek Sharma is tipped to have a big tournament but he is gone.

It's great bowling from Saurabh Netravalkar, holding his length and mixing it up. That's a bit of pressure for India now.

You do think USA's best chance of victory today is to get early wickets and put the pressure on India.
