    Kerr c Bouchier b Gibson 5 (NZ 29-3)

    The captain departs!

Dani Gibson has a wicket with the second ball outside of the powerplay, as Melie Kerr pulls straight to Maia Bouchier at mid-on.

The ball was probably a little too low for the shot.

WinViz has England on top after the powerplay...

But, when New Zealand were 11-4 on Saturday in the second T20, WinViz had England with a 96% chance of winning.

    So it isn't done yet.

A quiet start for Sophie Devine, facing three balls from Charlie Dean without scoring.

That's the end of the powerplay.

Sophie Devine was the difference maker for New Zealand on Saturday, dragging them away for their position of 11-4 with a 57-ball 87.

Charlie Dean kept the stumps in play and you have got to know as a batter that it will skid on a little bit more down the hill at Hove. Dean only bowled the one over in the previous game which went for 14 but a much better return for her so far today.

A second wicket attempting a reverse!

Izzy Gaze falls to Charlie Dean's third ball, trying to turn the ball round the corner and losing her bails.

Another poor wicket for New Zealand, but here comes the dangerous Sophie Devine...

That was a little edge from Amelia Kerr to pick up four off Sophie Ecclestone. New Zealand needed that because they have been a bit stop-start so far in their innings.

No third powerplay over for Linsey Smith, with Sophie Ecclestone coming into the attack.

She sends down five successive dot balls to Melie Kerr, but the New Zealand skipper gets her first four off the final delivery, with a padel shot down to fine leg.

A litle bit too full from Issy Wong for that six and it was in Izzy Gaze's slot.

Tidy from Issy Wong, swinging the ball into Izzy Gaze for three consecutive dot balls.

Gaze hits back though, ramping four over the keeper and then striking confidently over long-on for the game's first six.

Linsey Smith has good tactical knowledge. Knowing she can't bowl the same ball more than once in a row. I'd bowl her for a third over here.

  16. NZ 12-1published at 3 overs

A first four for New Zealand as Izzy Gaze slog sweeps Linsey Smith over backward square.

Smith recovers with two dot balls to end the over.

New Zealand just haven't learned. Linsey Smith is such a hard player to sweep. Suzie Bates was looking for the reverse sweep which is exactly what Linsey wants.

It's well bowled by Linsey, cramping her for space and getting that breakthrough for England.

The easy option is to knock the ball down the ground, with mid-on out of the circle. New Zealand have to get better at facing spin if they are going to win this World Cup.

Linsey Smith's golden arm strikes again!

It's a soft dismissal for Suzie Bates, she goes early to try and play a dinked standing reverse and gets cramped for room, only managing to scoop the ball to Sophia Dunkley at point.

    In comes Melie Kerr.
