Summary

Have your say on England women this summer

  1. Eng 13-1published at 8 overs

Heather Knight should be back in the pavilion with only one run to her name!

Kranti Gaud strikes the former England captain on the pad with her third delivery, another one that nipped back.

After a conference they decide not to review, but they very much should have done - ball tracking had all reds with a strike on middle stump.

A third consecutive maiden for India.

  2. Eng 13-1published at 7 overs

Back-to-back maidens for India, Sayali Satghare bowling to Maia Bouchier this time.

There were only four maidens in India's innings, and three of them were pretty late in proceedings.

  3. Eng 13-1published at 6 overs

A maiden for Kranti Gaud, bowling to Heather Knight.

We've got just over 15 minutes left of play today.

  4. Eng 13-1published at 5 overs

Heather Knight bustles out to the middle and gets off the mark from her second delivery, sending Sayali Satghare down to long leg for a single.

Maia Bouchier adds two more through the covers, but we're yet to see a boundary in this England innings.

Meanwhile ball-tracking shows that Tammy Beaumont's wicket ball would have been umpire's call on leg stump.

If that was my last ever appearance for my team, every inch of me would be screaming review, review, review.

One of those ones that can look, sound and feel right. Tammy Beaumont was thudded on the pad there. It's just nipped back slightly off the seam, sometimes you just know.

She's not as deep in the crease as it seemed. There's a chance that could've continued on to the leg side.

    Beaumont lbw b Gaud 2 (Eng 9-1)

Tammy Beaumont won't have a big score in this innings.

She departs for two, having been struck on the pad by a delivery from Kranti Gaud that nipped back a bit.

After a chat with Maia Bouchier she decides not to review - I would have considered it, I wouldn't say that's nailed on.

Irrespective of the format or colour of the ball, Maia Bouchier has the best batting average for England when there is big swing on offer for the seamers.

Against deliveries swinging more than 3º, Bouchier averages 70.00 across international formats.

  10. Eng 8-0published at 3 overs

England are batting tonight having wrapped up India's innings earlier in the evening session.

Sophie Ecclestone took the final three India wickets in the space of six balls.

I had my fingers crossed there. The last thing you would've wanted is Tammy Beaumont to have been out off her first ball in her final international match.

  12. Ind 6-0published at 2 overs

Tammy Beaumont is off the mark, punching her first ball from Kranti Gaud to mid-off and hurrying through for a single.

Maia Bouchier turns the final ball of the over to mid-wicket and runs two.

I think England need to be wary of the spin. We saw a couple of them stay low but they didn't look too threatening.

  14. Eng 3-0published at 1 over

Sayali Satghare will open the bowling for India, and she starts with an over-step no ball.

Maia Bouchier faces all of the opening over, driving one ball down the ground - it doesn't quite have enough juice to reach the ropes and the England openers run two.

It will be interesting to see if Tammy Beaumont can ride the wave and ride her emotions in this innings. It's her last ever international game at the first ever women's Test at Lord's.

I know she loves the pressure and has been in the limelight a lot in her career but, this is different. It's her last ever game for England, not everybody gets to go out on their own terms. She'll know that she has a job to do for her team.

I just hope she can control her emotions.

Tammy Beaumont, playing in her final international, takes to the field having been applauded through the pavilion.

She and opening partner Maia Bouchier watch on the sidelines as India form a huddle just inside the boundary.

Sophie Ecclestone and Deepti Sharma will probably be head to head to see who can be the first ever player to reach 400 wickets.

India will take confidence in the way that Ecclestone and Villiers bowled their innings.

From an England point of view, the way the seamers bowled, they'll be frustrated. There wasn't any consistency. It was the spinners really, Issy Wong had some spells of nice bowling but Ecclestone and Villiers were great.

    Bowled her! Straight through her.

England will be pleased with that, they've really got back into this game.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 74.5 overs

Gaud b Ecclestone 1 (Ind 285 all out)

    Sophie Ecclestone wraps it up!

Facing her first ball, Sree Charani flails an edge down to the third boundary and runs three.

That brings Kranti Gaud back on strike and Ecclestone breaks her stumps for her second wicket in three balls.

The last three wickets of the innings fall to England's record-breaking spinner, who finishes with figures of 3-68.
