Have your say on England women this summer

It feels really well poised. India got off to a flyer, England haven't bowled as well as they'd liked. No one has backed up Sophie Ecclestone. You want one of the seamers to come out and just hammer that line and length.

The run rate is just under five runs an over, India will be very happy with that. This partnership of Mandhana and Harpreet is really important for them.

    Thanks Kal.

Not really sure how to respond to that, to be honest.

I can neither confirm nor deny I have been in a sauna.

That's me done for now. I'll pass you to a man who, I'm guessing, is no stranger to a sauna.

    Over to you, Mike Peter.

Lauren Filer has put in a shift in the London heat. Just a single from her over.

    And that, folks, is lunch.

The first session of this historic match at Lord's has given us a fair bit of entertainment.

Jemimah Rodrigues was middling pretty much everything today but will be gutted with the way she was dismissed.

There has been a lot less retirements after the T20 World Cup than I would've thought.

I could've named about 12 but there's only been four.

  8. Ind 121-3published at 12:56 BST 10 July

    Mandhana 56, Harmanpreet 13

Shot. Harmanpreet Kaur takes a solid stride forward and drives for four.

Sophie Ecclestone comes back well with one that beats the outside edge.

    Six from the over.

13.6% of Smriti Mandhana's strokes today have been false shots, this is relatively low against the new ball.

The other Indian batters have had a combined false shot percentage of 25.2% today.

  10. Ind 115-3published at 23 overs

Lauren Filer is back into the attack and bowls a tidy line and length. She's been the best of the England bowlers this morning.

Filer has one shaping back into Harmanpreet Kaur. It's a good delivery but the India captain uses the pace well to play a smart late cut for four.

I'm so surprised Nat Sciver-Brunt is playing in this game, given what her injury was. If she didn't play, who would they have had as captain.

Would they have done an England men and gone back to Heather Knight?

  12. Ind 109-3published at 12:48 BST 10 July

Harmanpreet Kaur wants a wide down the leg side but umpire Sue Redfern is unmoved.

After five dot balls, Sophie Ecclestone misses out on a second maiden by conceding a single.

There is a bit of a lull in play. Both teams look happy to just see this out to lunch.

England have just started to bowl slightly tighter and slightly better. You do feel that they've gotten used to bowling that line and length now.

Test match cricket is all about trying to hit the top of off, time and time again.

  14. Ind 108-3published at 21 overs

Smriti Mandhana finds the gap with a swashbuckling drive through the covers and Harmanpreet Kaur takes a single off Issy Wong to get off the mark.

  18. Ind 102-3published at 12:40 BST 10 July

Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur is the new batter in for India as Sophie Ecclestone concedes just the single.

England have put the brakes on here a little. But Smriti Mandhana is still there and well settled.

How unlucky must you feel there for Jemimah Rodrigues. Full, wide, outside the off stump, doesn't get up, thick inside edge.

That is a little bit of a gift for England and Issy Wong. Rodrigues will feel hard done by.
