West Indies skipper Shai Hope: "We would've done the same.

"We've got to make sure we're playing consistent cricket all the way through. At a big tournament like the World Cup you've got to ensure you're playing your best cricket when it matters most and today is the best time to do so.

"Especially here in India, most of the guys ahve played in the IPL so that will give them confidence. You've got to use that experience in your favour and hopefully we'll come out on top.

"It's a do or die game. The guys are up to it. This is what you play for, moments like this. This is another big game, we know what we need to do to win this one."

  7. 'Looks a good surface'published at 13:24 GMT 1 March

India captain Suryakumar Yadav: "We wanted to bowl first tonight.

"It looks good, the surface looks good. It has been a chasing ground, the wicket later on becomes better and with a little of bit of dew factor.

"It's already very wild. The crowd is in. Hopefully we can give them a good show tonight.

"If there's no pressure, there's no fun. We ticked all the boxes in the last game. I think it will be a good one."
