  1. Ind 45-1published at 3.0 overs

Abhishek Sharma sends Liam McCarthy's opening delivery to the boundary, then takes two before rifling behind for another four.

Two more fours follow but his final final heave of the over falls just inches from an Irish fielder.

  2. Sharma's intentpublished at 15:37 BST

Ex-Ireland wicketkeeper on Test Match Special

Abhishek Sharma is playing with so much intent. He backs his ability. He wants to pick the ball up and stand very still. It's proving too easy for him at the minute!

  3. Ind 24-1published at 2.0 overs

A wicket with his first ball in international for Jay Moondra but there's also a six as Abhishek Sharma goes long on the on-side.

    Samson b Moondra 5 (Ind 16-1)

What a start to international cricket for Jay Moondra as he takes a ticket with his debut ball.

Sanju Samson is the batter to go, playing on and watching his stumps fly.

Sanju Samson starts with a four off Matthews Humphreys before fellow opener Abhishek Sharma then rifles the ball out of the ground for a huge six.

Another four from Sharma completes the over.

  6. 'Very decent effort'published at 15:17 BST

    Peter O'Reilly
Former Ireland cricketer on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra 3

Ireland lost some momentum at the end of the innings and they lost wickets in clumps. That said its still a very decent effort from their 36-3 powerplay score. They ran intelligently between the wickets and captain Lorcan Tucker really delivered with a 50.

India should continue backing their experienced players in major matches while gradually introducing Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Since he is still very young, there's no need to rush him. He should be given opportunities in selected matches and challenging situations to gain experience while allowing the senior players to continue leading the batting lineup. That approach protects a young talent while still preparing him for the future.

Humphreys run out (Tilak) 2 (Ire 182-9)

  10. 'Clever bowling'published at 15:10 BST

    Peter O'Reilly

Clever bowling from Arshdeep. Delany will be gutted not to get a fifty. Arsdeep bowled a good length angling in from outside off.

    Patel c Singh b Delany 49 (Ire 178-7)

Gareth Delany departs for 49 as Axar Patel catches his shot from Arshdeep Singh.

Liam McCarthy did hit a big four in what was, until the final ball, a productive Irish over.

  13. Ire 168-6published at 18.0 overs

A quieter over as Ireland add just four runs off Axar Patel.

Liam McCarthy comes in for the rest of the over after George Dockrell's dismissal and escapes exiting quickly as, after a review, he receives a leg bye and is not judged to have been caught out leg before wicket.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 17.1 overs

    Singh c Patel b Dockrell 19 (Ire 164-6)

A sixth wicket falls as George Dockrell goes for 19.

His sliced shot off Axar Patel's delivery was caught by Arshdeep Singh.

That just halts their momentum, but they have responded well so far to previous setbacks.

A good passage of play for Ireland. Good batting from Ireland over the last few overs. The total now is looking pretty good after a poor powerplay score! That last over from Krishna was awful. He did nothing right.

  16. Ire 164-5published at 17.0 overs

A big over for Ireland, who surpass 150 as their revival continues.

There is an early four for George Dockrell off Prasidh Krishna and Gareth Delany then gets adds another four as he smacks it straight to the boundary.

Delany then hits three successive sixes to the boundary to round off a superb over.

Dockrell then adds a four off the free hit and two singles to enjoy a good start to his batting as Delany also edges for four.
