Surprised no one went for Hasaranga or Ngidi!

Lungi Ngidi unsold is seriously surprising to me given he was so good in the World Cup and won the IPL with RCB last year.

London Spirit head coach Andy Flower speaking to BBC Sport: "It's been a fascinating morning. I always find these auctions really interesting. We're really happy with where we're at with the lunch break.

"The auction is much more of a spectacle than the draft because you have the jeopardy of what the price may get to. It is really fascinating to watch for the cricket fans in England and around the world. I really like the shift that they organising committee have made because I think it's good for selling the tournament and the stories and narratives around the tournament."

On spending £390,000 on James Coles: "I've worked with James Coles before. My brother works closely with him at Sussex where he's the batting coach and I've worked with him in franchise cricket this winter. I really rate him quite highly.

"He's an all-rounder and they tend to go for quite a lot of money in these auctions. He's having a lot of in success in all formats.

"We think he's got a great future and banking good, young English talent is important for English franchises.

"We knew we'd have a good fight with Sunrisers Leeds because they have him in the SA20 and he did really well. We'd budgeted a big amount for him. We expect a lot from him."

Welsh Fire are stacking up on spin bowling all-rounders with the return of Glamorgan man Ben Kellaway.

They now have Joe Root, Rachin Ravindra and Kellaway all offering batting alongside finger spin - whether Fire utilise Kellaway's ambidexterity as both an off spinner and left-arm spinner is a question opposing sides will be waiting to see.

    Age: 18

    Role: Right-hand bat, wicketkeeper

At this year's Under-19 World Cup, England captain Thomas Rew made a century in the semi-final win over Australia and amassed 330 runs across the campaign, at an average of 66, while striking at 105.

The Somerset man scored about as quickly against spin (108 strike rate) as pace (100), with high averages against both. Rew's strength square of the wicket against spin was his most noticeable skill, helped by his ability to cut and reverse sweep. His glovework is a bonus, too. No keeper was involved in move dismissals at the Under-19 World Cup than Rew's 14.

Despite coming into the auction with just three T20 games to his name, Rew's upside as a future star should ensure plenty of interest.
