Highest-auctioned Coles 'has great future' - Flower
  1. What's coming next?published at 16:35 GMT 12 March

The third and final round phase is the nominated players auction, which is coming up shortly.

A random draw, which has already taken place, determines the order in which teams get to select any of the unsigned players with the hero and ranked players auctions now completed.

After a team has picked an unsigned player, they will be auctioned just like the earlier rounds. If no other team bids for the player, they will sign for the team they were nominated by.

  2. Teams will add wildcard picks before the competitionpublished at 16:34 GMT 12 March

Today's auction doesn't mark the end of the squad building process.

Eight of the eight teams - in the men's and women's competitions - will add two wildcard picks to their squad after the T20 Blast comes to an end in July.

A reminder the Hundred starts on 21 July with MI London hosting Sunrisers Leeds.

Delighted with the work that the Welsh Fire have put in today. Aspinwall at that price is a very shrewd signing.

Manchester seem to have a lot of batting depth and be very confident in the fitness/availability of the 3 pace bowlers. Need to pick up some more with their dwindling budget.

    Tom, Manchester

Absolutely love MSG squad can’t see many beating us quality all rounders if the top order fail to produce we got hitters all down the order and quality bowlers

  6. Remaining pursepublished at 16:23 GMT 12 March

Remaining purse in the men's Hundred auctionImage source, The Hundred

Manchester Super Giants have become the first side to reach the minimum of 14 players but they do have £76,000 remaining if they wish to add. With possible England Test players Josh Tongue and Gus Atkinson in their squad, they may decide that's wise. They would of course be able to replace them if the ECB rested them at the time, but are they better securing that depth now?

There's still work to do for the other sides though. There are still four overseas slots to fill.

    Age: 21

    Role: Right-hand bat

Asa Tribe is yet to make an appearance in The Hundred, but his all-format performances for Glamorgan last summer, coupled with strong outings for England Lions during the winter, should warrant plenty of interest this time around.

Given the possible lack of lower-order domestic batting options, Tribe's average of 38 while striking at 153 as a number six batter is more than healthy compared to his peers. He showcased his ability for quick cameos in the SA20 during the winter, with scores of 51 off 34 and 30* off 16.

Tribe strikes at nearly 200 when hitting down the ground against pace, a strong skillset considering the short straight boundaries that are often in play during Hundred matches.

  17. Sam Billings signs for Trent Rockets for £180,000published at 15:54 GMT 12 March

Next player up for auction is Asa Tribe.
