Need a knock out Josh, way behind on points.

    Gary, Hambleton

Wood has had a very quiet night compared to the last fight. Warrington has not got the strength to trouble him.

    Wood v Warrington 2

The Nottingham crowd is growing in voice as Wood looks to be closing in on victory.

Wood shuffles from side-to-side and flicks out jabs as he moves. All of that is enough just to disrupt any possible rhythm that Warrington wants to find.

    Wood v Warrington 2

He's got to do more than win the last rounds for me, Matthew.

I think Warrington's only route to victory here is if he gets the knockout.

Josh Warrington needs to keep focused and work those jabs a bit more. He's surely got to win the last rounds.

    Wood v Warrington 2

Wood looks the much fresher of the two as we head into the latter stages.

Warrington steps forward and looks to hold. Wood won't mind that too much with plenty of rounds already under his belt.

We, I think, have got this 8-1 or 9-0. It might be tighter.

Maybe time for Warrington to call it quits if he loses this. A class man but now when enough is enough.

    Wood v Warrington 2

Wood decides to engage and it's a decision that pays dividends. A left hook is followed by a right. Both land.

Warrington gets his head back behind the gloves and strides forward, he's not the type of fighter to back down from a challenge - even if it's not going his way.

They tie up on the ropes and Warrington lands a couple of short lefts. He's warned by the referee for throwing after he called break.

Warrington needs to counteract that jab to have any chance of winning this, I don’t think he has the power to stop it.

I'd probably still give Wood that round, but there was a slight shift there. Several times Warrington backed up Wood and caught him.

Into the second half of the contest and Wood is still edging it.

The jab continues to be Wood's biggest asset.

    Wood v Warrington 2

Former undisputed light-welterweight champion Josh Taylor on X: "Been a great start from Leigh Wood. But I fear that he is going to get caught high when he’s pulling out after he attacks. He is gotta be more careful on his defence when he’s punching."

Wood looks in control of this fight. Warrington throwing plenty but not making enough land and cause Woods a problem.

"Give them something to sing about," is the message from Warrington's corner between rounds.

  18. Round sixpublished at 22:28 GMT 21 February

    Wood v Warrington 2

Wood is the one wearing the damage at the moment. As well as the blood from his nose he also has a welt starting to grow under his right eye.

Warrington has only really targeted the head - that might be due to the fact that Wood is keeping his hands low - but he probably needs a bit more output to start taking some of these rounds.

Wood steps in and lands a three-punch combination.

  19. Round fivepublished at 22:24 GMT 21 February

    Wood v Warrington 2

    Wood is starting to flow.

He walks forwards, hands still firmly down by his side, and throws a left, right and left, right again.

Warrington isn't backing down, though, and walks straight back into the fire.

Warrington draws further blood from Wood's nose with a hook but he's only landing with single shots.
