I think Verhoeven has definitely listened to Peter Fury because he is not getting greedy at all here and is staying disciplined.

It was all about how long he can carry the game plan out for and so far it's working.

    Usyk v Verhoeven

This is the first time Verhoeven has seen round six in his fighting career.

Kickboxing fights only go five rounds and his only previous boxing match was over in two rounds.

I am not saying Usyk is struggling, but he is having to really think. Big Rico is still there and letting his hands go.

  4. Round fivepublished at 23:43 BST 23 May

    Usyk v Verhoeven

Don't think I've ever seen someone twitch at the shoulders as much as Verhoeven and it's proving hard to read for Usyk.

A much slower round with Verhoeven landing on Usyk's gloves. Usyk does connect with the left late on but misses with a swinging right.

The pace is starting to suit Usyk a lot more now because it has slowed down. He is starting to really get to grips and work better with his lead hand.

I am expecting Usyk to win this by knockout but Verhoeven is giving him a real battle for a novice. Nothing but a convincing win will be disappointing for world champ Usyk.

"Get back to your boxing, you are getting too greedy, trying to land and getting caught," are the words from Peter Fury in Rico Verhoeven's corner after round four.

Verhoeven is swinging hard and trying to smother Usyk, but the Ukrainian lands a hard right hand followed by a stinging left, hurting Verhoeven.

There is much bigger shots being landed than I expected. Once Rico starts to tire, it could turn nasty - but right now it is competetive and I am loving it!

    Richie Woodhall

Usyk is certainly not used to this twitchy style of Verhoeven, but his movement is still good.

Usyk is starting to just control with the jab. Rico's speed is important, how long can he keep it going?

    Usyk v Verhoeven

Verhoeven lets that right hand go again and it brushes the chin of Usyk. Those heavy hands land again.

Usyk doesn't really look like Usyk right now. The movement isn't there yet - he's looking to counter Verhoeven.

    Usyk v Verhoeven

    Richie Woodhall
Former boxing world champion on BBC Radio 5 Live

Verhoeven is starting to make a few mistakes now, he has started to get a bit too confident. His feet are coming too square which is what a lot of kickboxers do. He has to get back to that boxing style.

    Usyk v Verhoeven

Usyk lands a hard right hook on the top of Verhoeven's head before coming back with a left uppercut.

Verhoeven is moving a lot but Usyk lands two more uppercuts with the Dutchman leaning over his front foot.

Verhoeven lands a left hook at the very end of the round but that's 1-1 for me.

Rico is a better punch picker than I thought he would be. Right now he is causing Usyk all sorts of problems.

  17. Round onepublished at 23:26 BST 23 May

    Usyk v Verhoeven

Verhoeven is so crouched over, his head is almost pointing down and of course, Usyk is upright, looking to figure the kickboxer out.

Verhoeven lands a good right and commits to another right to the body, while Usyk hasn't really thrown anything yet.

    1-0 Verhoeven.

A super shot from Verhoeven! He has started well with the jab and a lovely right hand to score with. He is very agile and is moving away from Usyk's left hand.
