It's cold in Denver and only going to get colder.

It's the ugly game we thought was coming. Both defences are great, we've got a back-up quarterback and a young quarterback who have played great.
Two kickers miss, it's a tied game. What did we expect from Denver-New England for the AFC title!

Half-time at Mile High, who wins from here?

This game is impossible to call..... Given that there is no Nix, will depend on the Defences......
Neil, Rugby

Whole build up to this game has been no Bo, no chance. This defence has been the star all season & they’ve sacked Drake “Drake May” Maye 3 times in the first half.

Here's how you voted in our poll - still confident if you were one of those who picked the Patriots?

New England Patriots 7-7 Denver Broncos - HT
Image source, Getty ImagesIt's no good from 63 yards as Andy Borregales snags an ugly one well wide to the left - trying to put an extra bit of juice on that one just made him mess up the connection a bit.
So we head into the break all sqaure after a bruising defensive encounter that we all expected we'd see here tonight.
It's been tough, tense, even a bit ugly at times, but that's play-off football for you when every down is crucial, every yard matters and every point puts you a step closer to the promised land of the Super Bowl.
Jarrett Stidham has performed well considering the circumstances, as Drake Maye has looked the more nervous and largely struggled against this fierce pass rush, while Denver's back-up QB has moved the ball better.
Still all to play for though.

How aware for a young quarterback like Drake Maye to be running and looking at the clock at the same time.
Mike Vrabel's right there going boom 'time out'. New England are so situationally aware.
New England Patriots 7-7 Denver Broncos - second quarter
Drake Maye takes off on a lengthy run that almost gets New England into field goal range, the clock is ticking down as he tries to make the sideline, but when he knows he can't get there he slides and stops the clock with just one second left!
The Pats will get a long field goal try.

To me, Denver needed those extra five yards to make the kick.
It's a big stop by New England.

And now New England have it just around midfield and just a decent completion away from having a field goal try themselves.
15 seconds left.
New England Patriots 7-7 Denver Broncos - second quarter
Wil Lutz from 54 yards out just sees the ball slice away and miss to the right.
New England Patriots 7-7 Denver Broncos - second quarter
Courtland Suttion gets another five yards to about the New England 34 and with over 30 seconds left they'll run another play with the first down four yards away.
It'll be about a 54-yard field goal from here for Wil Lutz.
New England Patriots 7-7 Denver Broncos - second quarter
RJ Harvey on the first play manages to escape from a tackle and get just about into field goal range and also gets out of bounds to stop the clock.
New England Patriots 7-7 Denver Broncos - second quarter
Hunter Henry with a big drop here that should've been taken for a first down, and Denver then stop New England and force a punt with 57 seconds left on the clock.
That's huge as the Broncos now have the ball around midfield with plenty of time left to get into field goal range.

Seriously, what's Stidham doing there, throw it away for heavens sake. Dreadful.

We saw it last week against Houston. When the Patriots' D-line gets going, watch out!
New England Patriots 7-7 Denver Broncos - second quarter
Jarrett Stidham looking to get into field goal range but the play is just blown up by the Patriots defensive front that comes powering through to take down the quarterback.
Christian Barmore it is who gets his hands on Stidham but there were three of them there in striking distance as they just took the Denver offensive line for a dog walk on that play.
Denver have to punt it away with 90 seconds left.
New England Patriots 7-7 Denver Broncos - second quarter
More stuttering stuff from Jarrett Stidham with a nervy throw away after almost being sacked, but then RJ Harvey bails him out with taking a short catch and getting the first down with seven yards after the catch.
Harvey's proving to be the major weapon for Denver so far in both the run and passing game, and that short checkdown to move the sticks was crucial just before the break.
