Jordan Love threw four touchdowns, tied with Brett Favre for the most by a Packers quarterback on Thanksgiving, with Dontayvion Wicks catching two of them as part of his six catches for 94 games - including a brilliant grab to seal the win.

Josh Jacobs ran for 83 hard yards and Micah Parsons had 2.5 sacks - including a crucial late one to stop Detroit from scoring a touchdown.

Jared Goff recovered from a slow start to pass for 256 yards and two touchdowns and Jameson Williams really stepped up after Amon-Ra St Brown's injury with 144 yards receiving and a touchdown.

But in the end the Lions just came up short as Green Bay take the Thanksgiving spoils.

Incredible! Jordan Love swarmed by a pass rush, so has to just get rid of it quickly, and hangs it up for Dontayvian Wicks who makes an absurd catch under all kinds of pressure!

He's had a great game so only right that Wicks takes the catch to ice the game.

The Packers will take the win back to Green Bay.

I would punt this down inside the 10-yard line.

The Packers throw it, with Jordan Love hitting Christian Watson, but Brian Branch is there to break it up.

Green Bay are shaping up like they're going for it on fourth down instead of punting it away. Pretty much in midfield so a short field for Detroit if they don't get it.

Brave call.

Green Bay let the clock run down for the two-minute warning and the game will be on the line when we return.

No time out left for Detroit, so three yards to gain for the Packers and that will kill off this contest.

Another short run from Josh Jacobs and the Lions burn their final time out.

It's so tactical when it comes to the final few minutes in the NFL, all about clock managment, time outs left and how to finish off this game for the win.

Two runs from Green Bay, two time outs by Detroit and the Packers still need five yards on third down.

But Jordan Love completes it out to Christian Watson down the right sideline to move the chains.

Green Bay Packers 31-24 Detroit Lions

Jake Bates completes the formalities with a field goal from 31 yards to cut the g ap to just seven points with three minutes left to play.

It's all on this next drive then - Jordan Love has the chance to put the game away with a long drive, but expect Detroit to bring the heat on him here.

Ouch, it looks like a nasty one for Packers defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt, who has a team-mate fall on his ankle and his leg bends totally the wrong way under him.

The cart is coming on sadly as the replay shows it was a pretty bad one. Hopefully not too bad but he's off the field.

It just happens so fast - and the explosiveness to finish. Jared Goff thinks he's got some space and then that space is filled with number 1 bearing down on him. What an impact Micah Parsons has had today and this season on this defence. He's an absolute force of nature.

Micah Parsons again! Two Lions get hands on him but they can't stop him as he then races around some traffic and hammers Jared Goff again for a big loss and the Lions will have to go for the field goal.

That's why they traded the house for him - for big moments like that - game changing moments that special players produce.

What did I just say? Just after that flag when Green Bay's defence thought they were getting off the field, a short pass to Jameson Williams sees him take off again on another sprint away for 44 yards.

He's just got so much speed if you get him the ball on the run, and few can live with him when he turns the jets on.

Jared Goff goes down on a third and 15, BUT there's a flag in the secondary and a silly one against Green Bay for illegal contact more than five yards from the line of scrimmage.

And from having to punt or go for a dodgy fourth down, all of a sudden it gives Detroit a first down and renweed hope. That could be a massive momentum swing.

Guess who!? Micah Parsons drops Jared Goff for a loss of eight yards, and it's quite a hit as Goff does well to cling to the ball.

Parsons doesn't always show up on the stat sheet as he's usually double teamed, more than anyone in the league, but when he gets free he causes havoc.

Brilliant diving catch by rookie Isaac TeSlaa to move the chains - he doesn't catch many balls, but the catches he makes are usually big ones.

I love the way Jared Goff has matured over his career. When he was traded to Detroit, it looked as though the Rams got the better end of that deal.

But it's an inner belief as a quarterback as to what you can achieve. Jared Goff is made of championship-calibre DNA.
