Former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett on NBC: "I'd feel pretty good if I'm Sean McVay because we didn't play very well in the first half and the score is 10-10.

"I just think they have to get back to doing what they do. Only seven rushing attempts in the first half. Start running the ball, get the play-action game going and get the movement game going. There's been too many dropbacks, they're putting too much pressure on Matthew Stafford. Get back to being who you are."

I don't want to wish this game away, but maybe we should fast forward to the fourth quarter given what these two sides did last week.

The Bears overcame an 18-point deficit in their largest ever play-off comeback, and scored 25 fourth-quarter points which is the third most ever in a post-season game.

And down in Carolina there were four touchdowns in the fourth quarter including the Rams game-winner which Matthew Stafford threw with just 38 seconds remaining.

So no leaving this one early...

The ground staff have been blowing snow off the surface at Soldier Field during breaks in play.

Apparently the temperature in Chicago is a brisk -7C, but actually feels more like -13C.

And many of the players are in short sleeves. Hardcore.

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay: "We've just got to execute. We've had some mental mistakes and they've done a good job, but if we just do what we're supposed to do, we would be able to sustain some drives. We'll settle in and we'll do that."

On what impact the weather is having: "We're both playing in it so we've got to keep handling it."

Two stacked offences here with plenty of playmakers but you have to credit both defences for that first half ending just 10-10 as they've put plenty of pressure on the opposing quarterbacks.

Matthew Stafford has passed for 144 yards and Caleb Williams 155, with Williams throwing the only passing touchdown of the game while Stafford has been sacked three times.

We all know both of these teams can come alive in the second half though so expect big things!

  8. field goal

It's an ugly kick from Harrison Mevis with the ball shooting left with a bit slice on it, but it splits the uprights from 32 yards and we'll go in level at half-time.

Los Angeles Rams 7-10 Chicago Bears - second quarter

Make that two shots! Matthew Stafford looks for Davante Adams and then Tyler Higbee but both passes are overthrown.

Stafford wants another go and you can see why as he has so many red zone weapons - but none can get near his third attempt and it'll be a field goal attempt.

Los Angeles Rams 7-10 Chicago Bears - second quarter

Nice catch and run from Kyren Williams and then a penalty moves the ball forward to the Bears 14. Just 18 seconds left with no time outs for LA so likely just a shot into the end zone before a field goal try.

If the Rams can't get something going on this drive, the Bears are going to take so much momentum into half-time.

Think of where they've been the last few weeks - behind, behind. They may not even know what to do, if they go into half-time with a lead.

But right now, we have got to see Matthew Stafford crack the code. There's been three sacks against him in this half, two of them by defensive backs, he has to figure that out - probably some quicker throws. I would be wearing him out until I saw that he has a plan.

  12. Rams movingpublished at 01:01 GMT 19 January

Los Angeles Rams 7-10 Chicago Bears - second quarter

Puka Nacua takes a catch for seven yards before Tyler Higbee claims a contested catch on the run and is almost away before he's tripped up.

That one goes for 27 and moves the Rams into Bears territory. Just 45 seconds left in the half.

  13. 'I want that moment' - Santos on field-goal pressurepublished at 00:58 GMT 19 January

Los Angeles Rams 7-10 Chicago Bears - second quarter

Cairo Santos kicked 25 of his 30 field-goal attempts in the regular season (83.3%) and claimed Chicago's longest field goal in play-off history with a 51-yarder in last week's win over Green Bay.

The Brazil-born kicker made a game-winning field goal in a last-gasp 19-17 win at Minnesota in November and could again be called upon to make a clutch kick later. The 34-year-old insists he will be ready though.

Chicago can't move the sticks and with just 70 seconds the Bears send Cairo Santos out into the snow to boot a 48 yarder, which is no gimme in these conditions but he puts a nice swing on it to send the hosts into the lead.

  15. Two-minute warningpublished at 00:53 GMT 19 January

Kyle Monangai runs for a yard just before we hit the two-minute warning with the ball on the Rams' 34-yard line on second down.

Chicago will want points before the break as the Rams get the ball first in the second half.

Boy, that takes some pass protection.

That route had to be about 20 yards deep down the field before the break in so you've got to have protection and right now, this offensive line is doing fine.

  17. Big throwpublished at 00:52 GMT 19 January

Los Angeles Rams 7-7 Chicago Bears - second quarter

Great start to the drive for Chicago with Caleb WIlliams hitting Rome Odunze for 27 yards down the middle.

We hear all about Williams going first in the 2024 NFL Draft, but Odunze wasn't too far behind as Chicago picked him ninth overall so maybe we should be expecting more from the wideout, seeing as he's a top 10 pick.

More catches like that would help.

I can't believe the amount of success the Bears defence are having off the edge here.

The Rams got a good look at it off the tape from last week but there was just nowhere to go for Matthew Stafford.

I think we're starting to see a bit of improvement out of this Bears defence and their aggressive approach.

  19. Sack forces Rams puntpublished at 00:49 GMT 19 January

Los Angeles Rams 7-7 Chicago Bears - second quarter

Matthew Stafford can't get his initial pass away and he's immediately under pressure from Kyler Gordon racing in on a corner blitz leaving the quarterback with nowhere to go.

Stafford's hardly a mobile quarterback so he just has to stand there and take the sack as Gordon walks him back about 13 yards and the Rams have to punt.

  20. Turnover on downspublished at 00:42 GMT 19 January

The Rams stop D'Andre Swift in his tracks on a third and one, but Ben Johnson goes for it on fourth down - he always goes for it on fourth down - and with just a yard needed he doesn't even flicker.

The Bears swap Swift for Kyle Monangai but he gets stuffed at the line as well and LA take over while Chicago miss out on what could've been a 50-yard field goal try.

    Right call?
