PNE Community have tweeted their enjoyment of playing earlier in the "walking football" match, despite the fact that a certain Mr Savage was breaking the rules by running. Tut, tut.

It's half-time and Shearer's team are 5-1 down and could do with the scoring prowess of their skipper. The bad news for them is that super Al is not back on until 8am tomorrow. Let's hope the half-time oranges have some effect!

Man Utd winger Adnan Januzaj obviously enjoyed his stint in the middle, despite having to send off hip-hop legend Fatman Scoop. It looks like there are no hard feelings now...

Robbie Savage is not coming off the pitch - although I'm sure he is begging to see his number held up on the touchline. Sav's ready for a long soak in the bath.

Nope, I'm the one being hooked. Thankfully we have an excellent replacement in my team-mate Henry Ditchfield, who's making his debut. Hurrah!

£50 could pay for a disadvantaged young person in the UK to go on a sports coaching course giving them the skills they need to find work.  

£70 could train a volunteer to run football and HIV awareness sessions for young people in a South African township.

Any amount, however small, will help make a difference.

Sav is one of five players, along with opposite skipper Alan Shearer, Danny Jones (of McFly fame), Josh Cuthbert (of Union J fame, I'm reliably informed) and Rachel Riley (Countdown's number cruncher), putting themselves through a gruelling 12-hour stint in the name of charity.

The Welshman is more than seven hours down, he's on the home straight.

Game over! And referee Adnan Januzaj might have to make a quick exit - Craig Joubert style - to avoid both sets of players. 

Shearer's 1Xtra will be the happier bunch though, winning 6-4 against Savage's BBC Creative Sport to nab a slender one-goal lead after match 14. 

Here we go...it's been coming! In the war between referee and player there's only one winner - referee. Card-happy official Adnan Januzaj has made a rod for his own back and now it has broken. 

Off goes Fatman Scoop for a second yellow. It won't surprise you to learn he is not going off quietly....
