Simon Coincidentally,
it was the very wine Nigel Havers ordered when he first ever ate with
us at The Quill and Tassel. Jose-Luis never ate at The Tassel. I doubt
he even knew who Nigel was. But they're linked by this Vina Hernandez.
I had a dream last
night. Cad only in tennis shorts, I wandered into a cinema on the
Ramblas in Barcelona. And there, in the back row, was Jose-Luis,
watching Nigel in 'Chariots Of Fire'. That's the power of
a great wine. It takes the imagination to strange and wonderful
places. It hits the sweet spot in your mind, too.
Ingredients:
Bottarga, close-shaved
1 Arthur Legg-Bourke chicken, jointed (www.arthurleggbourkersfarmnearbanbury.co.uk)
1 gullet of New Zealand fat-lip mussels
Italian risotto riz, 235 gms
