This 360 panorama is taken near Hey Green at the edge
of Marsden Moor. If you look carefully you can see Close
Gate Bridge. This packhorse bridge is on an early route
across the Pennines towards Rochdale.
Marsden
Moor has 5,685 acres of moorland. The land harbours
a vast diversity of birds, insects, plants and mammals.
It is home to the golden plover, curlew, grouse and
the twite. The Moor has valleys, reservoirs, peaks and
crags as well as archaeological remains dating from
pre-Roman times to canals and railways. The Moor was
acquired by The National Trust in 1955
