Joseph Farrell, 74, of Hammersmith, supports the ban because he does not like the smell of smoke.

“I’ve never smoked but sometimes I’ll wear a jacket to the pub in the evening and when I put it on in the morning it still smells of smoke.

“There’s not a lot you can do to get rid of the smell. I’ve tried sprays and everything.”
