Alcohol is prohibited in some Arab countries, but did you know the word alcohol originally came from the Arabic 'al-kuhul'?
The word shampoo came from the Hindi word 'champo' meaning 'press' or 'massage'. Sake Dean Mahomed introduced 'shampooing' to England.
