1974: Women's Rugby takes off where the sport began

"A lot of blokes that play 'rugger', think it's disgusting and degrading, but we're not really bothered what they think".

At the home of Rugby, women have formed a team of their own. The only problem is, there's no other women's teams to play, so they take on the men.

Asked if there is, "any room for femininity on the pitch?", one player replies, "well I don't see it matters out on the pitch".

This clip is taken from Pebble Mill at One, first broadcast on 15 February 1974.
