Are players allowed to fight in Olympic ice hockey?published at 12:41 GMT 17 February

    Men's Ice Hockey - Switzerland 2-0 Italy

There's been a few punches thrown between Switzerland and Italy!

Ice hockey may have a reputation for fights breaking out in the US and Canada's National Hockey League (NHL), but that behaviour is prohibited in international games.

The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) state in their rulebook that fighting is "not part of international ice hockey's DNA".

This includes Winter Olympic ice hockey games.

Players who do get involved in fights could face penalties or be ejected from the game.

  2. Aerials postponed because of... snowpublished at 12:37 GMT 17 February

Qualification for the women's event has now been postponed because of the difficult weather conditions in Livigno.

Organisers had kept pushing the start time back, but eventually they've decided that it's not going to happen today.

The men's event was also postponed earlier today.

I do already know how to snowboard, Dal, but I think that is too obvious - I'll pick another event.

Katie, sat next to me in the office, has suggested I might do well as a ski jumper because I'm lanky. I'm not quite sure how to take that!

I have really enjoyed the sliding events so far in Italy and I fancy my chances at one of those. I would be wanting to win a gold medal and I don't think I have a chance against Matt Weston in the Skeleton, so my choice is luge.

Like a lot of you, I'm loving the look of snowboard cross so I think that's the one winter sport I'd like to have a go at.

Having never tried snowboarding, I'd be pretty rubbish but I'm hoping I can stay away from all the chaos, avoid the crashes and somehow cross the finish line in first place. A girl can dream...

I would give figure skating a good go!

I was never a sporty kid but I did dance and I loved performing, so I back myself on that part.

However, anyone who knows me can vouch that I am VERY clumsy so I would maybe look more like Bambi on ice ...

  7. Five fourth-place finishes for GB, but others have morepublished at 12:18 GMT 17 February

Kirsty Muir's fourth-place finish in the freeski big air last night was Team GB's fifth of these Olympic so far.

I’ve gone through the numbers for the current top 12 Winter Olympic nations in the medal standings and there are a few that have more fourth-place finishes than that.

Italy have placed fourth seven times – the most of any nation – and they are still enjoying their best ever Winter Olympics and sit second in the table.

France and Germany have also just missed out on the podium seven times.

Switzerland have suffered six fourth-place finishes so far, while Austria are level with GB on five.

  8. GB's fourth-place finishes...published at 12:14 GMT 17 February

Team GB have eventually found their feet on the podium at Milan-Cortina thanks to success in the skeleton and snowboard cross, but those have been outweighed somewhat by the near-misses.

There have been five fourth-place finishes for GB so far...

    • Kirsty Muir in freeski slopestyle and freeski big air
    • Bruce Mouat and Jen Dodds in the mixed doubles curling
    • Mia Brookes in snowboard big air
    • Marcus Wyatt and Freya Tarbit in mixed team skeleton

I work in public affairs, so hoping I'd be able to schmooze my way out of some blatant double-tapping in the curling!

    Dan

Before the Winter Olympics I had no idea at all what curling was. Now it’s all I can think about. So I’d love to play curling as I think it’s such an interesting sport!

  11. What is Skijoring?published at 11:56 GMT 17 February

In Skijoring, a skiier or snowboarder is pulled by either an animal - usually a horse - or a motor vehicle, navigating jumps and gates along the way.

You could think of Skijoring as an almost snowy variant of wakeboarding; the water sport in which a rider, standing on a wakeboard, is pulled by a motorboat to perform aerial 'trick's.

If Skijoring tickles your fancy, or you simply want to know more about the sport, read BBC travel's piece on it here.

It's not been at the Olympics since 1928, though!

I'm a personal trainer (I work at a gym that Brad Hall trains at!) and I'm under no illusion that every feat we're witnessing is way beyond my capabilities. Though a current dream is to participate as a horse rider in skijoring...

I've just had to search what skijoring is ... you really do learn something new every day.

  13. Vonn has been 'immobile' since crashpublished at 11:46 GMT 17 February

Lindsey Vonn says she has been "immobile" since her crash in the women's downhill over a week ago.

The American great was racing just nine days after rupturing ligaments in her left knee when she struck a gate 13 seconds into her run in Cortina.

She was airlifted off the piste and taken to hospital in Treviso, where she was diagnosed with a "complex tibia fracture" in her left leg, which will require multiple operations.

"Haven't stood on my feet in over a week... been in a hospital bed immobile since my race. And although I'm not yet able to stand, being back on home soil feels amazing," Vonn said on X on Monday.

"Huge thank you to everyone in Italy for taking good care of me."

As a younger man I had quite the penchant for tiddlywinks, which has given me the hawk-like precision to succeed in the curling. I'm rather handy with a brush from all the sweeping of the pews as well, so quite the all rounder!

    Rev. Karl Sole, Canterbury

I would love to compete in Ski Cross. Anytime I've attempted a ski cross course for fun it's always felt like I was flying. I can't describe it. It's fun, fast, and totally the sport I'd love to do.

How do things stand for Team GB?published at 11:35 GMT 17 February

    Men's curling

So here's how things stand in the men's round robin after this morning's games.

Bruce Mouat's GB rink are in the top four and they'd storm into the semi-finals with two wins from their remaining two matches...

Today (18:05 GMT) - Canada v Great Britain

Wednesday (13:05 GMT) - USA v Great Britain

Lose one of those and things might become a bit trickier.

I can see myself winning Olympic gold with an iconic free skate to ‘Sunday’ by Stephen Sondheim (instrumental version, I believe). Perhaps not too many quads as to not show off, but I’d be renowned for my gorgeous, floaty triple axel. A boy can dream!

Given the vagaries of the men's ice hockey competition, hosts Italy are into the ice hockey knock-outs despite losing all three of their group games - including 11-0 to Finland on Saturday.

The three group winners and best runners up have qualified automatically for the quarter-finals, with the other eight nations meeting in a play-off round.

So Italy face Switzerland today in what could end up being a mismatch - this Swiss side reached the final at each of the last two World Championships. Their only defeat so far came against Canada.

But at the Olympics, you never know.

  20. More delays in the aerials...published at 11:21 GMT 17 February

It's not looking good for the aerials.

It's still snowing in Livigno and the women's qualification has been delayed until at least 12:45 GMT, while the men's event has been postponed altogether.
