Lovely stuff from Kirsty Muir. She goes into second in these early stages of qualifying, above defending Olympic champion Eileen Gu.

It's always fascinating to watch athletes visualising before they start their runs. It's something Muir has really worked hard on, ensuring she's calm and centred and in the moment.

'The Pretender' by the Foo Fighters will have helped too. That's her competition song, playing in her ears as she heads down the jump.

That was beautiful from Kirsty Muir.

We know she has been playing with some different grabs in practice. Your trick is one thing, but you can really turbocharge your score if you are using some unique grabs.

Two jumps left and she only needs to put one more score on the board. Her smile is very deserved.

I don't you'll think many cleaner landings than that! That was so smooth from Kirsty Muir.

Before that, she seemed to hang in the air forever as she completed a 1440-degree spin.

She scores 87.5 to go into second place behind Canada's Megan Oldham (91.25).

Five women have been and gone in run one of the big air.

Megan Oldham (Canada) leads the way with 91.25 points with Eileen Gu (China) second with 86 and world champion Flora Tabanelli (Italy) third with 81.50.

  5. Can Flock learn from previous Olympic woes?published at 18:38 GMT 14 February

The memory from 2018 is there for Janine Flock. Heading into the fourth run, she was first and then dropped to fourth.

She is actually one of the slowest starters on the track, she almost increases her gap as she goes down the track. The track she learnt to slide on in Austria is a long, smooth track. Once she's down past the more technical section (the first five corners), her feet are together and her body is relaxed.

I am anticipating a very exciting fourth run. It could be her race if she can keep her cool.

    Women's skeleton - run four

Off we go with the fourth run of the women's skeleton.

The competitors are heading down the track in the reverse of their standings order, so last-placed Nicole Burger is first of 25 to go, while leader Janine Flock of Austria will finish us up.

Right, that's all for the first round of the men's large hill. This is how the top five looks:

    1. Nikaido Ren (Japan) - 154 points
    2. Domen Prevc (Slovenia) - 147
    3. Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal (Norway) - 145
    4. Kacper Tomasiak (Poland) - 141.8
    5. Jan Hoerl (Austria) - 141.7

The big news is that reigning Olympic champion Marius Lindvik is out, missing the top-30 cut-off. His score of 119.3 is only good enough for 33rd place. Stefan Kraft is also out.

Men's normal hill champion Philipp Raimund (Germany) is 10th (135.2).

The jumpers will be back from 18:57 GMT for their second and final jump, where a gold medal is up for grabs. Remember, it's your combined score across the two jumps which determines your placing and style is almost as important as how far you jump.

China's Eileen Gu is the reigning Olympic champion and a former world and X Games champion. The 22-year-old has already won one medal in Milan-Cortina, finishing second in the slopestyle.

Switzerland's Sarah Hofflin was a silver medallist at the 2025 World Championships, with Finland's Anni Karava taking the bronze medal.

Hofflin's compatriot Mathilde Gremaud won gold in the slopestyle earlier this week and will be hoping to double up. She won bronze in the big air in 2022.

But the home crowd will all be backing Flora Tabanelli. The 18-year-old is the reigning world champion and won youth Olympic gold in 2024.

Oh, it's a nightmare first jump for the defending champion Marius Lindvik.

The Norwegian slots into 21st place with 119.3 points. With the field trimmed to 30 jumpers for the final, he might not make the cut!

  13. Can GB's Kirsty Muir qualify for final?published at 18:21 GMT 14 February

There was agony for Great Britain's Kirsty Muir in the women's slopestyle earlier this week.

The Scot qualified in third place behind Mathilde Gremaud and Eileen Gu but ended up in fourth place in the final standings, finishing just 0.41 points off the podium.

However, she has another shot at glory in the big air.

Muir finished fifth in this discipline at the 2022 Games, finished on the podium at the X Games in 2023 (bronze) and 2026 (silver), and won her maiden World Cup gold in Kalgan in 2025-26.

We're getting into the big names in the men's ski jumping, starting with Norway's Johann Andre Forfang.

His coaches share a fist bump after his jump but he looks a bit "meh".

He scores 133.2 points, placing him fourth with 15 jumpers to come.

Kazakhstan's Ilya Mizernykh (137 points) remains out in front.

Until about two hours ago, it had been snowing pretty much all day here in Livigno.

Not the nice kind of snow, either. The wet, slushy kind that is going to cause slippery chaos when it freezes over.

Regardless, the big air is lit up in all its glory, fans are on the beers and we're all ready for another big night of qualifying action.

It's nearly time for the women's big air qualification to get under way in Livigno, featuring Team GB's Kirsty Muir!

Skiers go down a 225m ramp, launch themselves off a 40m high jump, and perform tricks and flips galore.

They're judged on difficulty, execution, amplitude (how high they get), and landing control, receiving an average score out of 100.

Each skier is allowed three runs down the course (18:30, 19:15, 20:00) and their two highest-scoring runs are added together to determine their ranking.

The top 12 qualify for Monday's final.

  19. Sunday schedule changepublished at 18:12 GMT 14 February

    Katie Falkingham
    BBC Sport in Livigno

With heavy snow due in Livigno over the next couple of days, there's been a change to the schedule.

Mia Brookes and Tzema Mazet-Brown will now be in snowboard slopestyle qualification action TOMORROW, rather than Monday.

The men will get their campaigns under way at 09:15 GMT, and the women at 13:15.

The women's qualifiers will therefore take place simultaneously with the snowboard cross mixed team finals - featuring Charlotte Bankes and Huw Nightingale.

In conclusion, I'm going to be running around the Snow Park like a headless chicken.
