    Cross-Country Skiing - women's 4 x 7.5km relay

I did warn everyone in the office that this race had the potential to be chaotic - and we've just seen our first collision in under three minutes.

It looks like Australia's Ellen Soehol Lie took the first tumble. Most of the skiers managed to dodge her as they raced past, but Slovenia's Anja Mandeljc also hit the snow shortly after.

A few others were caught up in the chaos but I couldn't quite get an eye on their bib numbers.

    Cross-Country Skiing - women's 4 x 7.5km relay

The start gun goes off and we are under way in the women's cross-country 4 x 7.5km relay.

Just as a reminder, this first leg will be skied using a classic technique on a classic course. In simple terms, the skiers will move their skis back and forth inside parallel grooves to move forward.

  3. gold-medal

Jakara Anthony wins on speed, but will she win it on the turns as well? That's up to the judges.

She gets it! The Australian missed out on the podium in the individual event, but she's got her hands on a gold medal now.

That's a third gold for Australia at these Games.

    American Jaelin Kuaf takes silver.

  4. How does the women's 7.5km relay work?published at 11:05 GMT 14 February

    Cross-Country Skiing - women's 4 x 7.5km relay

With both genders racing over the same distances at this Winter Olympics, the women's relay has been increased from four 5km laps to 7.5km. That extension will suit some teams more than others…

Each team comprises of four athletes, with a limit of one team per nation. The relay begins with a mass start, with the teams which fared best at the most recent Nordic World Championships on the front row.

Each athlete skis a leg of the race and then tags a team-mate by touching any part of their body within an exchange zone.

The first two legs are skied using classic technique on a classic course; the second two are skied freestyle on a freestyle course.

Elizabeth Lemley hurt her hand when she crashed in the semi-final and it looks like she's still struggling with that injury, but she gets herself back to the start-line to go for bronze.

Perrine Laffont of France is almost a whole second quicker, but the judges have given it to Lemley! The American adds bronze to the gold medal she won in the moguls earlier this week.

  6. 'The evidence appears to be there but is it cheating?'published at 11:00 GMT 14 February

More on the controversy around the Canadian curling team and Marc Kennedy...

When you let go of the handle, if you don’t let go before it crosses the hog line there are sensors in the line; a green light if it’s okay or a red light would come on so, you have to let go of the handle and if you let go but then there’s a little finger push on the actual stone, that is something that is frowned upon.

Oskar Eriksson thought that that’s what he was seeing and that’s what the video evidence appears to show as well and I think tempers got a bit heated out there on the ice. It was a close and tense match.

It’s never nice to be accused of cheating but when the evidence appears to be there... But I think the issue is, is it actually cheating? You shouldn’t be doing it but is it making a difference?

There will be scrutiny of how the Canadian team, particularly Marc Kennedy, is throwing the stone but the sport is very well-administered by the players themselves most of the time.

I am aware though in this season, in the Autumn, one of the Chinese players who’s here, was accused of using his brush when he was sweeping to alter the trajectory of a stone and that was spotted as well. The players called each other out of that.

  7. Pinheiro Braathen on course to win Brazil's first-ever Winter Olympics medalpublished at 10:58 GMT 14 February

Alpine skiing - men's giant slalom

Right then, a total of 81 skiers have officially taken to the Stelvio Ski Centre giant slalom course this morning.

Let's take a look at who's secured a spot in the top five after those first runs:

    1. Lucas Pinheiro Braathen (Brazil) - 1:13.92
    2. Marco Odermatt (Switzerland) - 1:14.87
    3. Loic Meillard (Switzerland) - 1:15.49
    4. Thomas Tumler (Switzerland) - 1:15.81
    5. Leo Anguenot (France) - 1:15.83

There's not long to wait until the second runs either, which will ultimately decide the medals. Those get under way at 12:30 GMT.

Makayla Gerken Schofield has been speaking after her Olympics came to an end with defeat in the opening round of the dual moguls.

"I'm happy about my run, the only thing that kind of took me by surprise was that the jumps were kind of sticky, I didn't go as big as I wanted to," she said.

"But I'm happy to have put down the run and it's always really thrilling to ski against someone and it does push me to go faster as well.

"I knew I had the speed but I didn't get enough."

On whether she will continue to the next Winter Olympics in the French Alps in 2030, she added: "I grew up in France so it would be pretty sick to be able to like do the next Games.

"It's in the back of my mind but for now I'm going to try and relax and see how the end of the season goes and maybe go on holiday."

  9. Team GB were a unitpublished at 10:53 GMT 14 February

Curling - GB women v Canada

    Jackie Lockhart
Four-time Olympic curler on BBC Two

Great Britain came out this morning firing out of the blocks and looked so much more confident. Their stone placement was really good, they managed the stones and they managed the ice and they looked like a unit.

They were relaxed and enjoying the game and that makes a big difference.

Freestyle skiing - women's dual moguls

Who will Jaelin Kauf face in the gold-medal match?

Elizabeth Lemley won the individual event earlier this week, but she crashes right at the end of that race. That looked like a sore one.

To be fair, Australia's Jakara Anthony had landed the bigger jump and was leading by a fair bit before the American hit the ground.

    What's going on?!

Jaelin Kauf crashes on one of the bumps, but France's Perrine Laffont completely missed a gate so she will be disqualified.

The American got away with one there. She's got herself either a gold or silver medal.

  12. Postpublished at 10:47 GMT 14 February

Freestyle skiing - women's dual moguls

Right, we're into the final stages of the women's dual moguls now, with just four athletes left. So our semi-final line-up is...

    • Jaelin Kauf (USA) v Perrine Laffont (Fra)
    • Jakara Anthony (Aus) v Elizabeth Lemley (USA)

Win your head-to-head and you're guaranteed at least a silver medal.

  13. GB never let Canada into itpublished at 10:45 GMT 14 February

Curling - GB women 7-6 Canada

    Steve Cram
    Curling commentator on BBC Two

It's a win for Great Britain at last, after two demoralising defeats in one that looked like it would be difficult against one of the favourites and the world champions.

They played exceptionally well, took a three in the third end which set it up and never let Canada back into it. The score looks a lot closer than it ever was.

It's been a morning that Rachel Homan will not want to remember, it's not been a birthday that Emma Miskew would want to remember - it's been all about Great Britain.

And we're all done. Team GB record their first win of these Games and what a time to get it.

Canada needed three to force a final end, but couldn't do it. The world champions were bossed by Rebecca Morrison and her rink this morning.

The Scottish quartet were so, so much better than they had been in their opening two defeats and now they can try and build on this.

Another test awaits on Sunday, with Sweden their opponents at 13:05 GMT.

Alpine skiing - men's giant slalom

We're finally down to the final 10 athletes at the Stelvio Ski Centre.

The skiers have been flying down this course one after another, but a total of 81 competitors were entered into this event!

Who knew the giant slalom was so popular?

    Here comes Ireland's Cormac Comerford...

The 29-year-old, who is just one of four representing Ireland at the Games, is the 58th athlete to come down the course at the Stelvio Ski Centre in Bormio.

He finishes 10.40 seconds behind pace with a time of 1:24.32.

His sage green and teal ski suit gets my mark of approval though! Where can I buy it?

  17. Straight defence for GBpublished at 10:35 GMT 14 February

Curling - GB women v Canada

    Jackie Lockhart
Four-time Olympic curler on BBC One

I think we're going to see Great Britain just throw the stones through the house [the circular target]. Every stone in the house is a danger to you, you don't need them there - you just need to remove the Canadian yellow stones.

This has been the story of the morning for Rachel Homan - somehow not able to get anything more than the one every time Canada have had the hammer.

They've watched Great Britain control the ends when they had the hammer and when Canada theoretically had the chance to score. They've just not been able to create enough.
