It has been really disappointing with Muchova's forehand this match so far.

A really poor miss from Karolina Muchova.

That was a special shot from Noskova. It wasn't easy.

That was right around the side, curling right around it. That was a great shot, great skills.

Linda Noskova is annoyed at herself after she strikes long as she eyed an opening after taking the first point on Karolina Muchova's serve.

But Muchova drops a forehand short and she will face more pressure here at 15-30.

Sven [Groeneveld, Muchova's coach] in that last game was making more of an effort in between points, telling her to get forward. It feels Noskova has had so much space to work with and he is telling [Muchova] her to get momentum through the ball.

That was the first time I saw an intensity. It seems like she was sitting on the back foot, allowing Noskova to get the first strike in. Muchova still looks nervous, but I like to see her jumping out after the change of ends with a bit more in her step.

It's so tough to defend the T serve because Noskova has the wide serve also.

You've got to cover a lot of real estate on the return.

At the other end, a few signs of frustration perhaps beginning to show here for Linda Noskova when she nets for 15-15.

She's relieved to be able to meet a second volley at the net on a key third point, though, and completes her recovery by winning a couple of exciting points which draw 'oohs' and 'aahs' from the crowd.

    Nicely done.

    Much better from Muchova.

A rapid hold to love shifts the pressure straight back to Noskova. It's your turn, Linda - let's see how you're feeling now?

Muchova does a quick Muhammad Ali-style shuffle of her feet.

That's a sure sign she's feeling a bit of extra pep in her step - and she's making Noskova know that.

After that positive game, Karolina Muchova absolutely must back it up with another hold of serve here.

And that is exactly the game she needed.

Muchova appears to be finding a bit of form as she polishes off a love hold with a forehand into the corner.

Loud, encouraging cheers from the Centre Court crowd. Plenty of signs her confidence levels are beginning to rise here.

Muchova just looks a bit more comfortable in these rallies. She is seeing a few more cracks in Noskova.

She is a just a bit closer in this match now.

I'm beginning to feel sorry for Muchova... nerves seem to have got the better of her, and against a clean ball-striker like Noskova, the outcome seems inevitable

  14. Noskova saves break points to holdpublished at 16:59 BST 11 July

    *Muchova 2-6 1-2 Noskova

It isn't third time lucky for Karolina Muchova.

This is much, much better from the 10th seed, but she misses the line with a forehand on the stretch and Linda Noskova holds to edge back in front.

A first real test passed for the 21-year-old Noskova.

A straight serve down the middle is enough for Linda Noskova to escape the second of those break points.

But Karolina Muchova has a third opportunity after Noskova nets!

Muchova is way back, that was a 93mph serve. I'm not sure why she keeps allowing that to happen.

The decibels go as loud as they have all match when Muchova holds serve.

The 15,000 fans on Centre Court, who have all paid a pretty penny for this privilege, want to see a competitive contest.

Plenty of them have already seen Britain's Henry Patten win the men's doubles earlier, of course.

And this is already more competitive than Iga Swiatek's 6-0 6-0 dismantling of Amanda Anisimova last year.

She is usually very calm, Muchova, but she is not looking like that. She is looking like she does not know what to do.
