It happened at the start of the third set and I had already shifted the momentum of the match and I managed to hold just after that which got me back into things."
On playing in a home Grand Slam with his friends and family around: "I feel more in my place and deserving of being in the main draw. I still needed a wildcard and I really thank the LTA and the All England Club for that. I was playing a guy today who wasn't much higher ranked than me and I'm getting closer to the top 100.
"I feel more, and deserving is a strong word, but more in my place.
"I've played on the grass now for five seasons so that helps and I know the club, I've been here outside of the tournament and also I get to sleep in my own bed at home.
"Having family and friends around is always a bonus."
On the next round: "I saw Otto Virtanen won so I've got to get ready for that match on Thursday.
"I knew I was going to maybe play one of the top seeds in the second round and I guess that was extra motivation to get through. Ben Shelton ended up losing and I know Virtanen well, we've both played a lot of challengers this year so it's going to be interesting.
"I probably have a better chance of winning than had I played Shelton so that's good and I'm just going to try to do my best and treat it like any other match."
