I'm not cheering for either player, I'm cheering for both of them to be their best and the moment is making it hard for them to do that.

I empathise, it's not easy - I wasn't great in my first final either.

Just when it looks like Flavio Cobolli is going to take charge of this match. He blinks. Alexander Zverev didn't have to do much to break serve.

    One more chance.

Oh dear. Flavio Cobolli throws his head back in frustration after going wide.

Alexander Zverev won't get a better chance to level the set.

What a rally. Flavio Cobolli did everything he needed to defensively and then, with the finishing shot, he overcooked it.

Flavio Cobolli needs to avoid those. A double fault is not what he needs right now if he's to take this match to five sets.

Long forehands won't help either. 0-30.

What can Alexander Zverev do here?

We do appreciate the interest from Hollywood, but there's nothing more overwhelming.

When I knew Rod Laver was watching me, I could not hit a ball.

Alexander Zverev gets away with one there. The second seed stops still on the baseline after it looks like his slice is curving wide, but it pinches the line and Flavio Cobolli doesn't do enough with the reply to punish his opponent.

The Italian cracks a forehand down the line, but Zverev gets the job done in the end.

    *Cobolli 1-6 6-4 4-6 2-1 Zverev

Alexander Zverev looked like he got to that drop shot in plenty of time, but it's a tired effort from the German to get it back over the net and he pokes it wide.

Perhaps fatigue is starting to play its part. A lacklustre hit into the net follows from Flavio Cobolli. 30-30.

That's why the best of five sets is so fun at this level - because of the ebbs and flows. It's really hard to keep momentum for a long period of time.

In the last set, it was Flavio who let it happen.

Right when it felt like Zverev was going to seize control, he then blinked.

If you're on the Zverev side, you have to be thinking you're up two sets to one, you've been getting returns in play and you've got chances to break back in set four.

For Flavio, you're thinking this guy is showing why he's struggled with opportunities to close out Slams and he's got to keep all of the energy and get that crowd going again.

That's better from Alexander Zverev. After a nervy start to the fourth set, he regains some composure and sees out a love hold.

It's just nerves [from Zverev in the past couple of games], the scar tissue of the previous finals and all the noise he's heard about him not being able to close out a Grand Slam final.

The benefit for him is that he's got a two sets to one lead, so even if he lets this one falter, he'll have another chance in set five.
