After a change of ends, Marta Kostyuk's accurate forehand winner finds the corner but Linda Noskova lobs her in the next point and her return is too long.

A superb return from the 21-year-old Czech sees one come off Kostyuk's frame to make it 15-30.

Noskova is at the net in the next point but she can't return the ball when stretching with a backhand shot.

But she gets the first break point of the match with another accurate shot deep into the court which is returned long by the Ukrainian.

An ace from Kostyuk forces deuce and the 12th seed earns the advantage with a great forehand winner.

But a sloppy volley into the net forces us back to deuce

Noskova has a few more weapons in her game than Kostyuk, but not by much. Kostyuk does have good movement that makes up for some of that.

Both players are looking very comfortable and confident so far.

Safe to say Linda Noskova has settled quickest here.

But Marta Kostyuk responded to being taken to deuce with her best shot so far, and the way she served her way out of that potential problem should help her confidence levels.

The Ukrainian produced a real statement performance in storming past Jasmine Paolini, but these early games suggest she’s in for a tough battle against the hard-hitting Czech.

A poor shot into the net from Marta Kostyuk makes it 30-30 on her serve which gives Linda Noskova hope of a break.

The Czech fires a return into the net but Kostyuk does the same in the next rally to go to deuce.

The Ukrainian hits a superb forehand winner to get the advantage but she can't lift a return over the net after a good forehand from Noskova to back to deuce.

But the ninth seed can't return the next two serves as Kostyuk holds.

Centre Court remains fairly empty as everyone queues for refreshments following that thrilling first women’s semi-final. Can’t blame them, to be honest.

A slight breeze just entered the stadium, to everyone’s relief except perhaps Marta Kostyuk as she temporarily struggled to get her serve going there.

Sorry, Marta, but we all needed that.

Still no breaks of serve on Court One, only one break point per team in the whole match, and it seems we're heading for a second-set tie-break.

If Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara win this set, the British-Finnish pairing will secure a place in the men's doubles final.

That was a comfortable hold to love for Linda Noskova. She doesn't give Marta Kostyuk a chance in that game. She is looking comfortable and confident out there.

Marta Kostyuk goes 30-0 up on her serve with a wonderful overhead shot after Linda Noskova had gone long on the opening point.

The Ukrainian is sloppy with a double fault but then a fine ace is followed by a lovely backhand across court to hold to 15.

Marta Kostyuk takes the first point of the match as Linda Noskova is wide after a short rally following her serve.

The Czech's serve then forces Kostyuk to return into the net.

Kostyuk then fires two more into the net before a wayward shot from the Ukrainian makes it an easy opening hold for Noskova.

Marta Kostyuk and Linda Noskova are going to battle it out to reach their first ever Grand Slam final.

It is Noskova's first semi-final in a major tournament while Kostyuk reached the French Open last four earlier this year.

But what is it really like to play a semi-final at SW19?

Former British player on BBC Two

Noskova is a dark horse in women's tennis right now. She is quite quiet as a personality. Just moving on through the rankings, she is going for a top 10 in the rankings for the first time in her career off the back of this.

The power of Noskova, she stands at 5ft10, she is young so she doesn't really have that scar tissue in the big moments yet. There hasn't been that big match where she has choked, that stays in the back of your mind.

She is just so confident. And again, the Czech on the grass [have a good record].

It's going to take something very special from Marta Kostyuk and Linda Noskova to outdo the drama of today's first women's semi-final.

In search of marginal gains before Saturday's title decider, they both do now have the added incentive to get this done as quickly as possible after watching Karolina Muchova take more than two-and-a-half hours to get past Coco Gauff in this exhausting 33C heat.

I can't imagine how uncomfortable it is to be out there playing in these conditions, or how drained Muchova must feel after being taken the distance.

A cameraman stood below the media seats here is proudly wearing a folded ice towel as a hat. A very necessary measure today.

Both Kostyuk and Noskova did win their quarter-finals in straight sets, so hopefully they will be full of energy and ready to put on another great show for us all.

Linda Noskova has continued the Czech Republic's rich tradition at Wimbledon by reaching her first Grand Slam semi-final.

It should be no shock - in the past two years, Noskova has won more matches on grass than any other player on Tour.

With her compatriot Karolina Muchova also reaching the last four on Tuesday, Noskova became the eighth Czech player since 2000 to make it to the final four of the women's singles at Wimbledon.

No country has had more semi-finalists in that time span - and two of the past three SW19 champions have been Czech, Marketa Vondrousova and Barbora Krejcikova.

Can Noskova add her name to that list?
