    Former champion Stan Wawrinka, playing in his final Australian Open at the age of 40, has just lost the third set of his second-round match against Frenchman Arthur Gea.

    His first-round win lasted more than three hours and he's going to have to go long again if he's going to prolong his stay in this tournament.

    The 24-year-old Pole underwhelmed during her straight-sets win over Yuan Yue in round one, dropping serve three times and producing 34 unforced errors in a performance with "many ups and downs".

    Swiatek looks on course for a more convincing victory today - she's taken the first set 6-2 against 27-year-old Czech Bouzkova, although she did have her serve broken early on.
