Nerves of steel from Michael Zheng to hold to love.

The same can’t be said of Cameron Norrie and there’s a groan from the crowd as he double faults.

Then there’s a few audible gasps as he angrily smashes his racquet into the pristine green court.

Michael Zheng executes a pinpoint backhand lob onto the baseline, Norrie flying at full stretch to his right. 0-30. Double eek.

Norrie pegs it back to 30-all, aided by a couple of first serves, but then Zheng turns up the style - cross-court forehand pass on the run. Break point.

    *Sinner 4-6 6-3 6-7 (6-8) 6-2 0-0 Kecmanovic

Jannik Sinner isn’t one to usually show too much emotion on the court, but he’s been keen to call on the crowd when he feels he has deserved a real fuss from them today - like when he got that fourth-set breakthrough.

Us Brits love an underdog, so it’s no surprise that Miomir Kecmanovic has received the majority of the support so far given his inspired performance.

But is the tide turning now? A stuffed carrot toy was waved by a member of the crowd - that will have to do in the absence of his devoted fan group the Carota Boys - and Sinner responded with a shake of his racquet at the change of ends.

The Italian takes us to a decider and, despite his poor record in five set matches, he looks up for the fight.

    We're going to a decider.

    Zheng 6-7 (7-9) 6-2 6-7 (2-7) 6-3 4-4 Norrie*

  11. Sinner playing questionable 'touch shots'published at 16:26 BST 29 June

    *Sinner 4-6 6-3 6-7 (6-8) 4-2 Kecmanovic

Former British number one on BBC One

Jannik Sinner has got away with one there! It was another very poor drop shot.

When you aren't playing your best, you have to go back to basics which is driving big powerful groundstrokes and not playing the touch shots.

It isn't the best tactic but he is up in this fourth set after a heavy strike, which Miomir Kecmanovic couldn't deal with, on the forehand cross-court.

Cameron Norrie just can't find a way past Michael Zheng at the moment.

Most of the Court Two crowd are behind the British number one, but even they can't help but show some appreciation for some of the shots Zheng is making out here.

They give him a clap for an outrageous winner down the line before resorting back to "let's go Cam, let's go".

    Zheng 6-7 (7-9) 6-2 6-7 (2-7) 6-3 4-4 Norrie*

Michael Zheng is so elegant coming into the net. A forehand volley levels the game at 15-all.

His second winner of the game is even better - a bending forehand pass with Norrie up at the net. Norrie had played a good backhand volley into the corner but Zheng was quickly onto it. 30-all.

    Sinner 4-6 6-3 6-7 (6-8) 3-2 Kecmanovic*

Miomir Kecmanovic looks to pounce on another poor drop shot from Jannik Sinner but wastes the opportunity and slams into the net to hand the Italian a 30-15 lead against serve.

Sinner gets to the net this time and sends a cross-court winner away for two sights break points.

  18. Zheng holdspublished at 16:22 BST 29 June

    Zheng 6-7 (7-9) 6-2 6-7 (2-7) 6-3 4-4 Norrie*

Good movement into the net from Cameron Norrie, closing off the court and bringing the error from Michael Zheng. 0-30.

Norrie uses his lefty forehand to target Zheng's backhand but the American hangs in and hangs in until Norrie drags on into the tramlines.

Inevitably, Zheng pulls out ace number 20 to level the game before coming out on top of an exhausting exchange with a blistering forehand onto the baseline.

Norrie puts a backhand into the tramlines. Another opportunity snuffed out by Zheng.
