On table one, Judd Trump is a two-time winner at the UK Championship and has an impressive head-to-head record against Si Jiahui, who is yet to win a ranking event.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the divider, another two-time UK champion Mark Selby, takes on Zhou Yuelong in a repeat of their English Open semi-final earlier this year.

The 27-year-old from China won that match and has generally had the better of things against the Englishman in recent times.

That said, former world number one and four-time world champion Selby, is looking not too far from his best, so this should be a cracking session.

Pang Junxu makes the quarter-finals with a break of 116.

Pang Junxu lost his only previous meeting with Mark Williams 6-1 at the Shanghai Masters in 2023. He is now just one frame away from a famous victory after a break of 53.

It is far from vintage stuff but Mark Williams gets back to 4-3. The Welshman has missed a few balls today but it feels like he is grinding his way back into this match.

Mark Williams compiles his second century of the match with a 112 and takes his second frame. If he can win the next one he will fancy his chances of turning this match around.

Mark Williams loses another closely contested frame and looks to be in big trouble against Pang Junxu.

Neil Robertson is now just one frame away from a place in the last eight. He is playing quickly, fluently and a break of 68 gets the job done in frame six.

Neil Robertson has not looked back since losing the opening frame. A break of 75 means it is four consecutive frames for the Australian who won the UK Championship in 2013, 2015 and 2020.

Pang is going for a century of his own in frame three and looks disappointed when he fluffs a straightforward red to the corner. His break of 76 is enough to bag the frame though.
