How do you keep Judd quiet? Even with great safety play, he is the ultimate shot maker and its only a matter of time before he stamps his authority.

  2. Trump regains two-frame leadpublished at 15:29 GMT 14 January

    Trump 4-2 Ding

Was that fifth frame the last one that Ding Junhui will win today? He barely gets a look in as frame six goes Judd Trump's way.

This is a fantastic watch. Neither player has done a lot wrong, there's been some fantastic safety play and some big breaks too. Got a decider written all over it (hopefully after all the 6-2s we've had!!)

  4. Ding back within a framepublished at 15:06 GMT 14 January

    Trump 3-2 Ding

Ding pulls Trump back to 3-2 with a 'wonderful frame'

Judd Trump knocks in a brilliant long red and goes on to make a handy 54 before a cannon into the pack goes wrong.

And a rather lax safety allows Ding Junhui to sink a long red himself and go through the gears on the way to a half century of his own.

He then wins a safety battle on the yellow and gets back to within a frame.

It was very important for Ding to win that frame. He was in good shape at the start of the session and will be feeling a lot happier.

Judd will be disappointed at not getting four out of four.

  6. Ding pulls frame backpublished at 14:32 GMT 14 January

    Trump 3-1 Ding

Brilliant response from Ding Junhui. The 38-year-old still has a fair bit to do after the mid-session interval but he gets a frame on the board with a run of 98.

    Trump 3-0 Ding

Judd Trump is going through the gears and makes a break of 69 before briefly allowing his opponent back to the table.

Ding Junhui can't get the snookers he needs though and now the fourth frame becomes a must win for the 2011 Masters champion.

    Trump 2-0 Ding

    Steve Davis
Six-time world champion on BBC Two

Ding has not done a lot wrong but such is the way in top-class play if your opponent is on point. He looked very strong in the first frame and that is something to keep hold of.

The longer Judd can keep Ding in his chair, the more chance you've got of getting a player to go cold.

  9. Trump doubles his leadpublished at 14:00 GMT 14 January

    Trump 2-0 Ding

Judd Trump takes the second frame with a wonderful break of 116.

    Trump 1-0 Ding

    Steve Davis
Six-time world champion on BBC Two

Ding Junhui looks like he is in good form. He looked the stronger but made the worst error. He totally overhit it when getting position on the brown and allowed Judd Trump back to the table.

As a result of that he loses the frame but the margins are very small. It feels like both players are up for this.

  11. Trump takes openerpublished at 13:44 GMT 14 January

    Trump 1-0 Ding

Ding Junhui has chances to win the first frame but Judd Trump gets over the line.

A decent start from both players but Ding will rue overrunning when trying to get position on the brown and allowing his opponent to pinch that frame.
