How impressive is Kyren Wilson? After the disappointment of the worlds, his cue issues! To be playing so well, so soon after all that with a new cue. I fancy him to beat Judd in the final!?!?

    Will, Darwen

If Kyren beats Neil I hope he plays some cricket shots or refers to" OWSAT" at the end of the game tonight

If both players are at it this evening this could well be a classic.

    Wu 6-0 Xiao

Xiao Guodong speaking to BBC Sport: "It was like an exhibition for him today. He played so good. I had chances to win the the first, second and third frames.

"I missed some balls and in the last two frames I didn't get a chance so congratulations to him. Hopefully next year I can come back again."

  15. Wu's 'positional play was top drawer'published at 15:29 GMT 16 January

    Wu 6-0 Xiao

    Steve Davis
Six-time world champion on BBC Two

It was a fantastic performance. His positional play was top drawer and that is not always the case. He played some very clever shots to keep breaks going.

He had it all his own way but all the top players are great bullies and can play to that standard when the other guy is not performing.

You have to feel for Xiao Guodong, It was a day to forget. There was nothing he could do about that. It happens sometimes where you can't do anything correctly, it doesn't make you a bad player, it just happens.

  16. 'It is definitely a dream for me'published at 15:25 GMT 16 January

    Wu 6-0 Xiao

Wu Yize speaking to BBC Sport: "It is definitely a dream for me from since I was a little kid. I just told myself to enjoy every moment of this match and give my best and obviously it is a great performance.

On his dad watching him: "It came as a big surprise because I didn't know he would show up today. We had an agreement that if I made the final he would come but he messaged me this morning saying he was already at the hotel and would be at the match today."

  17. Wu whitewashes Xiaopublished at 15:16 GMT 16 January

    Wu 6-0 Xiao

I wonder if dinner will be off the menu tonight? Wu Yize completes an emphatic 6-0 win with a break of 97.

Whoever advances from Neil Robertson and Kyren Wilson will have something to think about if they meet him next.

  18. Postpublished at 15:01 GMT 16 January

    Wu 5-0 Xiao

    Steve Davis
Six-time world champion on BBC Two

Wu has probably got a few loose fibres on his tip that he needs to sandpaper off. It is no big deal and it is not affecting his game. It might be in his eyeline and some players get more distracted by that than others.

  19. Wu one frame awaypublished at 15:00 GMT 16 January

    Wu 5-0 Xiao

Wu Yize looks odds on for another century but can't cut a tricky green into the left middle.

It matters not as an 84 break puts him a frame from the last four. It looks like he has a minor cue issue as he chats to the referee Rob Spencer and then leaves the auditorium.

  20. Wu in complete controlpublished at 14:25 GMT 16 January

    Wu 4-0 Xiao

Wu Yize is not far from having one foot in the semi-finals. Xiao Guodong makes a mess of a dsafety shot and is in big trouble as Wu knocks in a break of 60 to take another frame.
