  1. Wilson regains three-frame cushionpublished at 21:13 GMT 16 January

    Wilson 4-1 Robertson

The answer is no (see 21:00 post). Kyren Wilson compiles a 66 after Neil Robertson overcuts a red to the right corner on 28.

When the world number three can't get out of a snooker it is frame conceded.

    Wilson 3-1 Robertson

    Stephen Hendry
Seven-time world champion on BBC Two

Both players spent the interval completely different. Neil went to the practice table and Kyren played darts with his brother, trying to relax and forget what went on in the fourth frame.

Was that fourth frame a turning point in this match? The players are back in the auditorium and we shall soon find out.

Try and get your head round some of these moments from the fourth frame.

  6. 'That had absolutely everything'published at 20:47 GMT 16 January

    Wilson 3-1 Robertson

    Joe Perry
Former World Championship semi-finalist on BBC Two

What a frame. That had absolutely everything in it and Neil just had to win that frame.

Neil will be pleased to get out of there. It was not a good mini session for him. He will want to collect his thoughts. He knows he can do better than that and will have to do better than that. The break probably comes at a good time for him.

  7. Robertson pulls frame backpublished at 20:43 GMT 16 January

    Wilson 3-1 Robertson

Kyren Wilson attempts a cocked hat double and leaves the black for Neil Robertson to roll into the left middle.

He will be a relieved man to get a frame on the board.

    Wilson 3-0 Robertson

    Stephen Hendry
Seven-time world champion on BBC Two

It was Kyren's turn for his technique to let him down. He will be devastated at missing that black.

It is difficult to know who would be happier going to the interval if Neil were to win this frame. If you'd asked Kyren beforehand he'd have bitten your hand off for a 3-1 lead going into the interval.

  9. Postpublished at 20:38 GMT 16 January

    Wilson 3-0 Robertson

Talk about tense. Kyren Wilson is eyeing up a difficult long pink which he strokes in.

With the black over the right corner bag that should be it....

    He's missed. Wow.

  10. Postpublished at 20:36 GMT 16 January

    Wilson 3-0 Robertson

Neil Robertson can't knock in an awkward looking red and now Kyren Wilson is unable to cut one into the right middle.

The Australian then carelessly misses the yellow from no more than six inches away when playing for a snooker. This is remarkable.

Two-time winner Robertson then leaves a red on which is dunked in by Wilson, who clears the balls as far as the pink.

The Englishman overruns the white and can't find the left middle with his pot. The score is 52-51 to Robertson, and Wilson then butchers a safety.

Neil shows all sports fans that honest is endlessly the truly best policy . Even if he loses the frame that was recommendably a true sportsmans motion!!

    Wilson 3-0 Robertson

Amazing sequence of events. Neil Robertson is on 19 and eyeing up a red to the corner when his back hand catches the brown.

He just can't get a break (excuse the pun) or so it seems until Kyren Wilson misses a red with the rest with his very next shot. He never (usually) misses with the rest.

If Kyren gets through to the semi final he has a good chance to win.

    Wilson 3-0 Robertson

Neil Robertson's highest break so far is 16. But he gets a chance to make considerably more after Kyren Wilson misses a long red to the right corner.

  16. Wilson takes three-frame leadpublished at 20:05 GMT 16 January

    Wilson 3-0 Robertson

Kyren Wilson is steamrolling Neil Robertson at the moment.

He absolutely larruping balls into the back of the pockets and makes another century break.

Could we be on for another 6-0?

The eight guys who got knocked out in the first round all scoring just 2 frames each got prize money of £25,000 each. That’s £12,500 per frame. Not bad. The winner of the final on Sunday will receive a cheque for £350,000 having won 28 frames through the tournament. That’s an average of, yes you’ve guessed it, £12,500 per frame. Not bad pay but feels like harder work!

    Wilson 2-0 Robertson

This very much looks like the Kyren Wilson who won the World Championship in 2024.

Neil Robertson looks rattled and concedes a foul when he misses a red down the right that he was trying to play safe from.

Great to see Kyren playing so confidently & with good tempo. It shows your opponent he means business.
