What's impressive here by France is that they know they are two players down but can still go to the power game.

And they have got a big power game.

You would not know which side is two players down here.

Again the French pack take command and edge ominously towards the Welsh line. In the end, Kelsey Jones produces some brilliant defensive work to hold up Sisilia Tuipulotu over the line and Wales escape.

And with that, two players return and we have parity in numbers again.

What a composed try for France.

Two players down, everything against them.

They kept it short and kept it tight and there was clear communication from everyone.

    15 v 13 in players, but 1-1 in tries....

France execute the perfect gameplan for the situation, as they get territory and the forwards produce carry after carry towards the line.

Eventually, second row Madoussou Fall Racot picks up from a yard out and there is no stopping her from there. Carla Arbez converts and we are level again.

Wow... two yellow cards in the space of two minutes for France either side of a penalty try for Wales.

The hosts have a massive nine minutes coming up against 13 players if they really have ambitions of beating Les Bleues.

They have to make this count.

How many times have we seen Wales have the territory and not being able to capitalize on it and turn it into points.

That is a huge progression for this team.

  7. Sin-bin: Pauline Bourdon Sansuspublished at 18 mins

    Wales 7-0 France

Gets better for Wales and worse for France.

Scrum-half Pauline Bourdon Sansus was deemed the guilty party for the try and the visitors are down to 13.

    Big 10 minutes ahead...

The rolling maul comes up trumps again!

For this third time in the contest, Lleucu George turns down three points in favour of the corner and this time, fortune favours the brave.

A concerted forward drive is heading for the line when Robbie Jenkinson blows his whistle and heads for the posts!

  9. Sin-bin: Yllana Brosseaupublished at 15 mins

    Wales 0-0 France

    France down to 14!

Another infringement and the referee has seen enough. Prop Yllana Brosseau, who scored on her international debut last week, marks her second cap with a sin-bin.

The way France play, if we can come up to the line and put defensive pressure then France can make mistakes like knocking the ball on.

After a lightning-quick start the contest has stagnated a bit in the last few minutes.

France are showing their intent to attack but right now, are guilty of trying to force the play. That's three knock-ons out wide already, with Anais Grando the latest culprit.

Your kicking to some of the most exciting, young back three in the northern hemisphere which is not what you want to do.

Breathless start to this one and now a major warning sign for the hosts.

Kayleigh Powell kicks loosely to Aubane Rousset and she immediately counters as France break into the 22. A knock-on spares the home side, and I suspect Powell breathes a sigh of relief.

More Welsh pressure and a kickable penalty follows, but Lleucu George instead goes for the corner.

This time, the French pack repels the attempted maul but illegally - and another penalty comes.

Oh, that's a waste as George again tries to set-up the line-out chance but proceeds to boot the ball dead. Wales can ill afford errors like that.

Positive start for Wales as from a line-out, they forwards rumble a full 30 metres up field before the ball goes wide.

Jasmine Joyce gets an early dart at the French defence and the pressure continues with several phases in midfield. The French stand firm though, before Lleucu George's grubber kick is gathered and cleared by Carla Arbez.

Good early signs for Sean Lynn though.

I thought Kate Williams really led from the front last weekend.

She mentioned in an interview that she maybe did not perform to her usual standard at the Rugby World Cup, but first and foremost she has to do her job in the back row and she done that.

She led from the front and led by example and took her try well which tells you everything you need to know about Kate Williams.

So we've had the anthems, had the now customary pre-match fireworks, now time for business.

Lleucu George gets us underway on, dare I say it, a bright and sunny afternoon in the Welsh capital.

Scotland played the territory game really well, especially in the second half.

A week's more work for Wales with the defense coach will hopefully improve Wales' defense this afternoon.

There were many improvements in last week's game and it is clear that Wales are now forming their own identity.

The defense was very strong and solid and Scotland found it very hard to break through them.

I wouldn't say Scotland out-performed Wales, but they outsmarted them a little bit. If Wales can continue with the same progression in their performance today it could be a challenging game for France.
