That's it from Steve Tandy's press conference with the broadcast media, he has now gone off to speak with the written press, with those comments to be published later in the day or tomorrow.

The Wales head coach spoke about his selections, the threat of France and the approach that will be needed against Les Bleus.

Tandy's side will be huge underdogs and if anything it's the performance that matters given that they have a six-day turnaround to Scotland.

After shipping half-centuries to England, Argentina, New Zealand and South Africa in 2025, can Wales avoid another drubbing in Cardiff against a very dangerous French team?

We'll find out on Sunday afternoon. Thanks for following this morning.

Tandy on the poor ticket sales: "I know how good the stadium is when it is sold out.

"New Zealand was an unbelievable event, the fans were incredible throughout the autumn."

After a "bitterly disappointing" performance in England he hopes to provide more against France, which would in turn help with sales for Scotland and Italy.

Tandy on discipline: "Offsides in the autumn, we were over five a game and as coaches we have to look at that.

"The only ones that can change (penalties) is ourselves. We are working tirelessly.

"The way the game is refereed now, there are more yellow cards and we have been on the wrong end of that. We are working hard on that."

Tandy on the performance against England: "It's been more prickly because we felt we had a good two weeks. We are disappointed with ourselves.

"The boys are tight and connected. That gives us an opportunity to go hard (on them).

"You could sense there was huge disappointment. We didn't feel that we could take a lot from that game.

"It's making sure we are constructive on how we review the game and grow some of those spots."

Tandy on the approach against France: "We are not the biggest team in the world so have to be smart and hold the ball.

"We are not going to go straight through France, so have to be smart."

On the threat of France captain Antoine Dupont, Tandy said: "At some point in the game he will have a moment, or a couple of moments!

"You can help yourselves defensively but he is world class, so we have to limit those moments.

"You cant cover everything but we have to be better with our systems to give yourself a better chance."

Tandy on his team selection: "It's not a massive reaction. With the props there is a big demand with the three games.

Wales have made a midfield change by bringing in Joe Hawkins for Ben Thomas while France have been forced into changes in that department.

Nicolas Depoortere and Yoram Moefana were paired in midfield against the Irish but miss out through injury along with Kalvin Gourgues, who came off the bench.

That means a debut at inside centre for 20-year-old Fabien Brau-Boirie.

At 6ft 3ins, he's a big lump and has been in terrific form for Pau with nine tries in 15 games this season.

He is joined in midfield by club-mate Emilien Gailleton, a try scorer against Wales last year.

Pau are second in the Top 14 and also provide rapid wing Theo Attissogbe.

Stade Francais centre Noah Nene is in line for an international debut off the bench.

It is seven defeats on the spin for Wales against France, a run that goes back to a memorable victory in the 2019 World Cup quarter-finals.

Ross Moriarty scored a late try - converted by Dan Biggar - to earn a 20-19 success.

That came after France lock Sebastien Vahaamahina was sent off after 48 minutes for a blatant elbow on Aaron Wainwright, who scored a terrific long-range try in the first half.

France were leading 19-10 when the red card was shown and Wales scored 10 unanswered points.

Glad to see Joe Hawkins in at 12, but would have preferred Owen Watkin alongside him to provide some stability in defence.
