Wales number eight Taulupe Faletau is facing another injury lay-off.

The 35-year-old was making his first start of 2026 and just his seventh appearance of the season in Cardiff's 21-15 defeat by Sharks last night.

But he was helped from the field in Durban early in the second half with his right arm in a makeshift sling.

This latest set back follows knee and calf issues.

    Hurley-Langton, con Naughton

This time it's Connacht who turn down a kickable penalty in favour of a scrum.

A series of carries follow and it's Shamus Hurley-Langton who crosses again! Like his first try, the flanker shows real power to pick up and force his way over.

Sean Naughton converts and the Irish side lead again.

    Lions 18-14 Dragons

Dragons have stuck in this contest and trail by four points at the break.

Lions will aim to put the foot down after the break but Filo Tiatia's men have shown the same tenacity that frustrated Stormers last Sunday.

Dragons came up with a vital turnover as Lions looked to stretch away with the clock in the red.

They've also scored a pair of cracking tries through influential centre Aneurin Owen.

The second half will test their lungs, mind.

    Connacht 7-7 Ospreys

So Sean Naughton, wind at his back, gets us going again here.

For both sides now, tactics must change.

As I type, Ospreys knock on in their own 22 and it's an early chance for Connacht.

So it is all to play for here in Galway. Let's hear your verdicts - Connacht or Ospreys? And another debate for you all. Are teams now too obsessed with pushing for tries when three points is on offer?

    Smith

Lions are happy to build a score and trust that tries will come later in these sapping conditions.

Chris Smith missed one simple penalty but makes no mistake this time to stretch the lead.

  7. European ban blow for Moriaritypublished at 15:13 GMT 28 March

Ross MoriartyImage source, Huw Evans Picture Agency

Today isn't the only clash that Ospreys will be without Ross Moriarty after he was shown a red card for a dangerous clearout in Benetton.

He will also miss the Challenge Cup last-16 game against Ulster on Saturday, 4 April after being banned for three matches following a hearing this week.

However, the disciplinary panel have ruled the ban will be reduced to two games if Moriarty completes the World Rugby Coaching Intervention Programme.

The altitude is always a factor when you're playing in South Africa.

But the Dragons are right in this game, and they've crossed for two great tries.

I think Ospreys got themselves back in the game, they were on the back foot and Connacht played well.

But then the Ospreys really dominated the set pieces, unfortunately they have turned down a chance for points which might haunt them.

    Owen try

Aneurin Owen is over for a second try from a strike play.

The centre carries after ball from the top of the line-out and plays a one-two with flanker Thomas Young.

He has a run-in and Angus O'Brien's conversion is a simple one.

Dragons sticking in this, as they have so often in recent weeks. Conditions will make that a challenge at Ellis Park.

    Emyr Lewis

It was a first half of two halves.

It was all Connacht for the first 20 minutes, but the Ospreys got themselves into it but a shame they didn't take the points when they should have, and the scoreboard is that score.

  12. Half-timepublished at 15:05 GMT 28 March

    Connacht 7-7 Ospreys

Ospreys were ragged for the opening stages of that half, and superb for the latter ones.

But having had the elements behind them, the visitors could be made to rue not leading at half-time.

Mark Jones' men wasted a prolonged period of pressure before having a try ruled out - and you sense Stuart Lancaster will be delighted to go in at 7-7. His side can also consider themselves a little fortunate to have escaped any yellow cards too.

    Well that's a shame.

We've lost three minutes of the game for them to go and review that, surely that has to change on how long they review a try.

To me, it was obvious it was forward from the first play.

    Connacht 7-7 Ospreys

    Welcome back Jac!

Luke Morgan fields a high ball and links with Dan Edwards - and the fly-half sears through a gap before Morgan is there on his shoulder to go under the posts. A brilliant score.

    Or is it?

    Kriel try, Smith con

Rio Dyer hesitates a little when covering a grubber through.

Lions put the power on at the breakdown twice and eventually turn the ball over.

They have an overlap and Richard Kriel goes over after a neat pick-up off his toes.

Smith converts to stretch the lead.

That was a huge defensive set from Connacht.

The Ospreys had so many opportunites to kick for the points, to get the score board rolling, but no they want to keep the pressure on Connacht.

They threw the dice, made the gamble but brilliant from Connacht there.

  18. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Connacht 7-7 Ospreys

Persistent pressure and numerous penalties comes to nothing for Ospreys.

This time, Connacht stay disciplined and stand firm and after Evardi Boshoff carries towards the line, Shane Jennings is there quick as a flash to make the jackal and win his side the ball.

The visitors may end up ruing that period. They turned down a string of kickable chances and came away with nothing.
