Wales have been concerningly slow out of the blocks. They have not been anywhere near quick enough up in Ireland's faces.

They have got a reprieve but they have not won any of the battles early on.

The scrum collapses but Aaron Wainwright brings it away with a strong carry.

Wales reset and Tomos Williams sends it clear.

    It's been ruled out.

Tom O'Toole touched the ball forward and Wales will have the scrum.

Can they use that to turn the tide? It's been one-way traffic so far.

Wales have not woken up yet and it’s cost them.

We said at the start, Wales' chance of winning this game is to start strong and they've done the opposite.

The pressure just kept on coming and it ends with Jack Conan driving over the line.

The two brilliant sides of Stuart McCloskey on show in the build-up to that opening Ireland try. A bruising carry gaining valuable metres after contact, quickly followed by quick, soft hands to send Stockdale over.

    Andrew

What a great start from Ireland. There is no complacency showing at all.

    Fred, Portrush

Wales don't seem to have learned much - still have the mindset of kicking away possession with disastrous consequences.

It's good again from Stockdale as he collects a bouncing ball and dances past two players before being cut down.

That’s unfortunate, it all came from the scrum.

Dan Edwards not nailing the kick that lead to the scrum, then missing the tackle and that’s opened the scoring for Stockdale.

Dan Edwards needs to do better.

Ireland look to move it around halfway but Jack Conan can't gather the pass and it's out for a line-out to Wales.

You would think Wales would've tried to get up in Stuart McCloskey's face and knock him back early on. It's a lovely pass out the back from the Ulster man to his club mate but Wales need to be up quicker there.

The first chance for the Irish attack to click and they duly oblige.

Stuart McCloskey - confidence coursing through his veins - tees up his Ulster mate Jacob Stockdale and Ireland are up and running.

His first Ireland try in five years.

That's Jacob Stockdale's 20th try for Ireland. His last came in 2021 against Japan, and now only five men have scored more tries in green.

Stuart McCloskey has three massive involvements in that try and Stockdale just accelerates into that gap.

The space was there for Dan Edwards, but some great kicks by Tomos Williams but that second kick by Edwards has presented Ireland a scrum in the centre.

Every time Louis Rees-Zammit gets on the ball, I’m like ‘go on have a go’ he’s so exciting but needs that little confidence.
