Fiji are all over the place here. They haven't got a scrum, their defence is scrambled, they haven't had much ball.

England are dominating every aspect. I haven't seen Fiji play like this for a while.

Welcome to international rugby. Benhard Janse van Rensburg only qualified for England on Wednesday.

I think that was his first touch. The Bristol Bears centre hits a hard line and crashes over.

In May, former England scrum-half Danny Care criticised the selection of South Africa-born Benhard Janse van Rensburg in the England training squad for this summer's Tests.

Earlier we asked for your views on his selection.

I haven't found this a convincing performance at the moment, I think England have been lucky Fiji are making a few silly errors.

Good, tight-five rugby from England, but the rest of the team just looks so flat. There seems to have been no progress since the Six Nations.

The ball is again lost forward by Fiji. They will be very disappointed with their first-half performance.

Fiji's tourist board/local mineral water/national airline have handed out some free rattan fans and they are getting a good workout in the stands, fluttering away to cool some reddening faces.

It looks to be a crowd close to the Hill Dickinson's capacity of 53,000.

When you bear in mind it was only a touch more - 56,854 - who attended England's Rugby World Cup warm-up defeat by Fiji in 2023, I reckon that is a decent turnout.

Good awareness from Pepper. Just pick the ball up and do it yourself.

It took some scoring because there were a couple of Fiji players in front of him but that was good initiative. He's looked strong so far.

I don't understand that. You are 14 points up, haven't had too much phase rugby, you haven't had much ball and Marcus kicks it through.

I want to see him run there. Unless it's a perfect kick you score from, there's no point turning the ball over.

Another good chance for England. Marcus Smith's kick through bounces off Tommy Freeman, with a try very likely to follow.

Fine exit from Fiji. This game is yet to catch fire in this heat.

Time for a water break in LIVERPOOL. The heat is not far off some World Cup games in the US.

Here come Fiji. Quick ball allows them to make some progress, but the cross-field kick is overhit.

    Too many mistakes from Fiji.
