Vunipola from three yards and three feet off the ground. There's nothing Augustus or McCann can do about that.

It's the power from these monstrous Montpellier forwards. Three entries into the 22 and three tries. You don't get much more clinical than that.

    Billy Vunipola (con Domingo Miotti)

Ulster need a big defensive stand but they can't keep Montpellier skipper Billy Vunipola out from close range!

The Montpellier forwards really showed their power there. Ulster had no response.

Domingo Miotti slots the conversion too so that's a nine-point lead for Montpellier now.

A Montpellier line-out ends up in Ulster hands and they look to get Zac Ward into the game.

They hold on to it this time and work it back to the right and Cormac Izuchukwu spots a gap and goes for it after being fed by James Hume.

Great carry and superb try for Ulster! Nathan Doak pulls the conversion attempt to the left so Montpellier cling on to their lead.

Montpellier captain Billy Vunipola looks to be in some discomfort after a big hit from Tom Stewart.

He's down receiving treatment so the players have a much-needed breather.

Montpellier kick the ball dead and Ulster have another put-in at the scrum.

At the second attempt, Ulster are pinged at the set-piece and Montpellier will look to build from here...

It's been really mixed by Ulster. I think they've defended pretty well and tactically they've got it right.

The disappointing thing is obviously that lost lineout that gave away the soft try. Possession is key.

A fast start by both teams with Montpellier looking definitive with a 45kg heavier pack but Ulster are holding their own and using pace in attack, but too many easy errors giving Montpellier possession back in key areas.

Ulster win a scrum and now look to work a few phases but they are being pushed back by a mean Montpellier defence and eventually concede the penalty.

Great linespeed from the French side and another psychological boost for them.

It all just looks a little bit too easy. Ulster get the lineout wrong and Montpellier score in the corner.

Loads of room for Montpellier to get in.

It comes from the overthrow from the lineout, Ulster's mistake and it's an easy finish.

    Donovan Taofifenua (con Domingo Miotti)

Montpellier look to strike and Arthur Vincent's kick forces Ulster into a line-out five metres from their line.

And Tom Stewart's throw goes long and Montpellier are gifted a try, with Donovan Taofifenua fed by Domingo Miotti in the corner.

Ulster the architects of their own downfall there. Costly errors from Zac Ward and Stewart.

It hasn't been the best opening 13 minutes for Zac Ward. We know how good he is with ball in hand but can't afford to be making those errors

Ulster get going from the scrum and work it out to Zac Ward, but the in-form wing spills the ball.

Ball handling has been far from exemplary so far. Conditions playing a big part early doors.

Dropped ball from Ulster and Montpellier have the chance to build from the scrum.

They look to go wide left but it's knocked on by Auguste Cadot and Ulster breathe a sigh of relief.

Ulster centre Jude Postlethwaite is receiving some treatment, by the way. They can ill afford another injury.

Ulster win another penalty, kick to the corner and go over through Harry Sheridan, but it was dropped on the line by the lock and it's a goalline drop-out.

    Big chance gone.

    Frantic stuff.
