    Northampton 26-17 Exeter

Exeter have had some miraculous comebacks but this does seem beyond even them.

However a penalty means they can kick deep into Saints territory.

They simply have to score from this.

All you can hear right now inside this bowl at Twickenham is the Northampton fans.

They think they're side have as good as got this won.

Exeter never give up, but surely it's too late for Rob Baxter's men now?

    Northampton 26-17 Exeter

Fin Smith's kick from just inside his own half is on the right line but it doesn't have the length as it drops just short.

    Lennie Newman
Former Saints player and manager on BBC Radio Northampton

    To me that is discipline.

They just let Exeter take it into them and they didn't challenge too much because they didn't want to give them the chance.

Fin Smith is going to have a shot at goal here.

    Saints penalty!

I don't know how many phases that was but it was a lot.

At the end of it Saints win the turnover and that might be that.

Northampton's coaching team are fist pumping in the stand.

  7. 'Northampton are passively defending'published at 16:53 BST 20 June

    Northampton 26-17 Exeter

    Matt Dawson
Prem title winner on Radio 5 Live

The defence from Northampton at the moment has been so wonderfully patient.

They're saying to Exeter, if you've got the gas to go around us, feel free.

Northampton are passively defending, really clever.

Phase after phase but Exeter have still not moved from halfway and Saints are keeping their discipline.

    Exeter need something here...

This is now where Exeter have really got to go for broke. They've got to go for a try.

No real penetration yet as Saints defend well.

Exeter are going backwards at present.

An attacking scrum for the Chiefs.

We're approaching now or never time.

Have Exeter got another big comeback in them?

They have come out the right side of a lot of arm wrestles recently but they need a big finish here if they are going to stop Saints lifting the trophy.

We're into the closing stages now.

  13. 'Pollock has been that quality they needed'published at 16:46 BST 20 June

    Northampton 26-17 Exeter

    Chris Ashton
Prem title winner on Radio 5 Live

Henry Pollock does things that are really unique, he's happy to run laterally past players which you don't really see.

A couple of his carries have just been instrumental today.

He's been that quality they've needed.

Another TMO check as Henry Pollock appears to shoulder charge Exeter wing Campbell Ridl.

    Big call this.

Ref Matthew Carley says it is a rugby collision and not worthy of anything more.

That's one that if you're a Saints fan you say it's accidental and if you're a Chiefs fan you want the penalty!

Exeter are back up to 15 - though not with Dafydd Jenkins who has been replaced - what a costly yellow card that proved to be.

12 points conceded while the Welshman was off.

    He's over again!

George Hendy scores it but that try was all about Fin Smith.

The England fly-half puts a delicate chip in behind as the Chiefs defence rushes up and the Saints winger is in to dot it down.

Two tries in three minutes has changed this game completely!

That passage of play pretty much summed up how the Saints have gone about it this season.

Northampton haven't been able to finish today, thankfully for any fans watching, they have there.

You think that won't be the last score today.

    George Hendy, con missed Smith

Saints winger George Hendy is over in the corner!

But it will be checked again!

Does he stay infield? Yes he does - he finishes it very well under pressure and Saints have a third try.

Fin Smith misses a difficult kick from wide and there are just two points in it!
