That was a risky pass from Sam Prendergast but the longer Ireland keep the ball, the narrower Italy's defence gets.

They need to earn the right to go wide but there is definitely space out there.

    Ireland 0-0 Italy

Ireland win the penalty after Lynagh went for the intercept but knocked it on.

That's a clear tactic from the Italians to go for those long passes.

It's a first TMO check for Hollie Davidson. Is Lynagh about to go to the bin?

    Ireland 0-0 Italy

Prendergast's kick through is gathered up by Monty Ioane, and Italy look to come forward.

Louis Lynagh does really well on the right wing and he feeds Menoncello, who kicks through but there's too much on it and it goes dead.

Incredible defence from Italy. Sheehan has tried to illegally jump that tackle but he got absolutely smashed regardless.

He has undoubted natural talent, but Sam Prendergast isn’t half frustrating to watch.

I think Ireland really had to show more ruthlessness there.

Some big early collisions and the ball in play for the first two and a half minutes. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

Much was made about Ireland's kicking in Paris last week.

A couple of nice early high-ball takes from Robert Baloucoune and James Lowe.

"Intent" was the word this week. No shortage of it so far.

Craig Casey looks to fizz a pass out wide and Alessandro Fusco almost intercepts it, but he just touches it forward when it looked like he would race away.

It was a genuine attempt to catch the ball, so it's just an Irish scrum. A bit of a let off though.

Rob Baloucoune gets his first chance to run into space and he beats a couple of men before being chopped down.

He's electric when he gets going.
