A change at the break for Ireland as Tadhg Furlong is on for Thomas Clarkson.

Monty Ioane is also back in play, so any sanctions for that incident with James Ryan will be dealt with post match.

Right from the start, the crowd felt nervous and the team responded, they look nervous.

Italy are coming at them breakdown and defensively so Ireland will have to match them. The good news for Andy Farrell is that he has some very experienced players off the bench which will help left them.

Ireland need to tighten up the set-piece, especially the scrum. It is an arm wrestle now and they have to win that.

I think Andy Farrell's half time message will be more 'stick' than 'carrot'.

Italy are 40 minutes away from history. Ireland are 40 minutes away from a nightmare.

Will Andy Farrell's men turn this one around?

Don't forget, Italy really pushed Ireland in Rome last year and Andy Farrell's side only won by five points.

Doing it in Dublin, though, is a completely different matter.

Perhaps Scotland weren’t so bad last weekend after all.

    Thomas, Perth

Italy absolutely deserve their lead! Once again Sam Prendergast will be disappointed with some aspects of his game. Ireland attack has been very limited. Stu McCloskey just like in Paris probably the best Irish player on the pitch so far. Plenty of work to do in the second half!

    Lewis, Belfast

They'll get the boot up the backside they deserve from Farrell and come out storming as long as Prendergast is replaced, they should come back.

Ireland look nervous and unsure out there. This has gone pretty much exactly to plan for Italy and they are executing their game plan perfectly.

Ireland players look like they are waiting for someone else to do something rather than taking control of the game themselves.

Italy have been terrific but you just feel they haven’t done enough in this first half. It would be a seismic win if they can pull it off though.

    Elliot, Portsmouth

Ongoing issues at 10 for Ireland. Static, poor kicking and tackling.

    John, Lisburn

Even if Ireland win this match, there's no doubt there's a clear problem deep within this team. Italy have won this half across the board. And that's not a sentence I thought I'd say with Ireland playing in Dublin.

Ireland have done some things well like their phase play but finishing has been a problem.

Italy have grown into this and look dangerous on the attack.

There was a definite punch thrown by Monty Ioane at James Ryan just after the whistle. That could be interesting to see what, if anything, is done about that at half-time.

There was some more afters between a few players after the half-time whistle.

James Ryan and Monty Ioane were in the middle of it.

Italy have turned into a fabulous rugby team. What a joy to watch.

    Rory, Hale

Italy's rise has long been coming. They've had one of the best U20 teams that's now becoming the backbone of this squad. They're also doing this despite key injuries. Building up the infrastructure and youth structure, from scratch, would always take time. They'll be championship challengers soon. Really exciting team.

A big, big team talk coming up for Andy Farrell.

    Huge from Stuart McCloskey!

He turns the ball over and rescues Ireland. That should be that for the first half.
