Scotland's resilience 'commendable'published at 19:05 BST

Overall, I'm just gutted. You think of the effort everyone put in. Some of the quality rugby Scotland have played, they've gone deep into the well on a number of occasions.
They gave South Africa a 14-point lead and got it level by half-time. Concede three quickfire scores, and then bring it back to a one-score game.
Scotland's resilience, the ability to keep going and bounce back, it was commendable.
But half-time came at the wrong time, just as Scotland were ascertaining their dominance.
Scotland 'be better for 80 minutes' - Townsendpublished at 18:59 BST

Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend tells ITV: "We're really frustrated we didn't get more points on the board in the first half and then during that period when the Boks go down to 14 men.
"We were sloppy for 10 minutes.
"I'm massively proud of the effort to come back in. At 70 minutes I was believing we would go on and win, but it wasn't to be today. It's a learning for us, there were a lot of good parts to the play but we've got to be better for 80 minutes.
"There's a lot more in us. I just know, with the amount of opportunities the players created today through work, skill and intelligence, we've got to take more to beat the world champions.
"That's the frustrating element, because we don't get to play South Africa very often, we don't get to play them here, so that'll be the feeling tonight.
"But we've come a long way this season and today was another step forward."
Scotland 'magnificent at times' but didn't take opportunitiespublished at 18:55 BST

South Africa are the world champions for a reason, they find ways to win games. They gave Scotland opportunities and Scotland didn't take them.
We gave 21 easy-ish points away. But at times, Scotland were magnificent. They created so many opportunities, which is good. We could have scored seven or eight tries.
We scored four, created enough opportunities for more. But we still lost a game we could have won. Not saying we should have, but could have.
Scotland 'gutted' but Tuipulotu 'proud' of his sidepublished at 18:52 BST

Scotland captain Sione Tuipulotu tells ITV: "We're really gutted to be honest.
"We battled back but the period after half time hurt us a little bit. I'm very disappointed at the moment but I'm proud of the group, I want us to keep our chins high.
"We had a lot of possession in their 22 but didn't capitalise."
When asked what his side need to improve upon after this evening's performance, Tuipulotu adds: "Execution when the pressure's high when you're away from home.
"The period after half time is going to hurt a little bit. We managed to wrestle back momentum but it wasn't enough. I think they showed a little bit better execution at the back end of the game that got them the win."
Looking ahead to Fiji next week, the captain says: "We need to travel well.
"There's been a lot of travel in the last couple of weeks, we need to rest up tonight and travel well tomorrow.
Scotland loss 'self-inflicted' as 'mistakes cost them dear'published at 18:44 BST

I think Scotland will feel that, to an extent, this was a bit self-inflicted. Too many of their own mistakes cost them dear. They were brilliant in the comeback.
What an impact from the bench, fitness levels extraordinary. I thought Scotland were absolutely brilliant for large periods of that game but the Bok pressure and power got on top of them.
South Africa know they've been in a hell of a game and they can't say that often against Scotland.
Still no win for Scotland against the Springboks on South African soil, but the most points the Scots have ever scored against them in this part of the world.
And the most points Scotland have scored against them since the 1999 World Cup, at Murrayfield.
Plenty of positives to take.
But negatives, too. There's an argument that Scotland gifted one or two of the tries, a feeling of an opportunity missed.
I have no idea how Scotland have managed to drag themselves back into contention here.
South Africa have managed to clear their lines, but Sione Tuipulotu breaks free now and the 22m is within their sights... but Finn Russell chucks it out of play.

Zach Porthen
It's another penalty for South Africa. They get down to the 5m, and get another penalty. This time it's taken quick and the green bodies are flying towards the line, keen to get another score and wrap this game up.
And soon, it's young tighthead prop Porthen who is successful.
