Summary

  1. Half-time: Cardiff 10-7 Ospreyspublished at 19:50 BST 24 April

It is Cardiff who lead against Ospreys who are now back to 15 players, but if you offered this to Mark Jones 25 minutes in the Ospreys head coach would have bitten your hand off!

The Blue and Blacks looked in full control when, shortly after Rory Thornton's try, Daniel Kasende had his yellow card upgraded to a 20 minute red.

But that Keiran Williams try before the break has changed the outlook.

A fantastic opportunist try there from the Ospreys and totally against the run of play.

They'll be happy with that going in at half-time.

Converted try: Cardiff 10-7 Ospreyspublished at 38 mins

    Keiran Williams (Con: Dan Edwards)

    The visitors strike back!

Sam Parry overcooks the line-out throw but the ball bounces perfectly into the arms of Dan Edwards, who jinks towards the line before giving the scoring pass to Keiron Williams.

Ospreys back up to 15 players, and now right back in the contest.

    Zebre 0-0 Dragons

Angus O'Brien gets the game under way in Parma as Dragons hunt a first away win in the URC since 2022.

Can they repeat their Challenge Cup quarter-final success? Will Zebre close the gap at the bottom of the table?

Ospreys really need Owen Watkin back, he's their defensive leader and Cardiff have really been exploiting that.

A great snipe from Johan Mulder and he manages to offload a pass to Rory Jennings, but Jac Morgan is covering back to make the tackle and force a knock-on.

Just a hunch, but I think Ospreys might miss Jac Morgan next season...

Funny old game. Ospreys play against 14 men for 10 minutes and barely lay a glove, but now they are two players down they mount serious offence.

From a scrum penalty Dan Edwards sets up a line-out chance and Sam Parry finds his man - only for Ryan Smith to be penalised as the rolling maul rumbled towards the line!

Big relief around the Arms Park there.

Rory Thornton getting one against his old club and to make matters worse Owen Watkin has been yellow carded as well.

Ospreys now down to 13 players.

You have to say that last passage of play was excellent from Cardiff.

  9. Red card: Daniel Kasendepublished at 25 mins

    Cardiff 10-0 Ospreys

Suddenly Ospreys have a mountain to climb.

Following the try Owen Watkin was sin-binned - but to really compound matters, Mr. Allison informs skipper Jac Morgan that Daniel Kasende's yellow card is being upgraded to a 20 minute red.

The visitors are 10-0 behind and currently down to 13 men. I suspect Mark Jones would take half-time now if he could.

  10. try

Converted try: Cardiff 10-0 Ospreyspublished at 24 mins

    Rory Thornton (Con: Callum Sheedy)

More Cardiff pressure and his time it tells!

From a close range penalty, Johan Mulder goes quickly and although he's dragged down short, Rory Thornton is on hand to pick up and power over.

Callum Sheedy converts and it is about to get worse for Ospreys....

Ospreys will be disappointed with that, not only did they not score in that 10 minutes, they've just lost Kasende.

It will be interesting to see what they do with their back field now.

  13. Sin-bin: Daniel Kasendepublished at 18 mins

    Cardiff 3-0 Ospreys

The penalty was given after Daniel Kasende was deemed to have led with an elbow into Callum Sheedy.

Sure enough, after a TMO review the winger is off for 10 minutes (minimum) and now it is the visitors a man down.

  14. Penalty: Cardiff 3-0 Ospreyspublished at 17 mins

    Callum Sheedy

Another penalty for the home side and again it is bang in front of the posts.

No thoughts of the corner this time and Callum Sheedy does the honours.

Moments later, Liam Belcher returns and Cardiff come out of that sin-bin period three points to the good.

    Cardiff 0-0 Ospreys

Cardiff win another penalty and turn down three points in the favour of the corner.

A period of battering away at the line follows but then that man Jac Morgan is there to save Ospreys by winning a turnover penalty.

    Super jackal from the flanker.

Cardiff look really dangerous, especially in the back three.

What they're doing really well is they are interchanging Ben Thomas and Callum Sheedy as first receiver, so they've got a second passing option in that 12-13 channel, and that width is putting the Ospreys' defence under pressure

  17. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Ospreys

Cardiff have thus far negotiated being down to 14-men very well.

After keeping possession and going through the phases, Ben Thomas then makes a dart on half-way and pops a pass to Cam Winnett, who then wins a penalty for being high-tackled.

Callum Sheedy sets up a line-out in the Ospreys 22 and the 14 men have a chance to strike here...

    Cardiff 0-0 Ospreys

Incidentally Dan Thomas is the man sacrificed for 10 minutes - with Efan Daniel coming on.

Corniel van Zyl named two hookers on the bench tonight - but wouldn't have been planning to sue one of them this early.

Meanwhile, Morgan Morris is off for Ospreys for a HIA, as Ross Moriarty enters the fray.

He is upright Liam Belcher, but I don't think it's malicious.

  20. Sin-bin: Liam Belcherpublished at 8 mins

    Cardiff 0-0 Ospreys

Referee Christopher Allison has gone to the TMO here, with Cardiff skipper Liam Belcher deemed to have made a dangerous tackle on Morgan Morris.

Sure enough, replays show clear head-on-head contact and that is 10 minutes for the hooker - pending an off-field review.

    He faces a nervous wait...
