Great vision by Callum Sheedy on halfway with a kick wide to wing Iwan Stephens. He jinks into the 22 but then loses the ball.

Cardiff still hunting for their four-try bonus with 10 minutes to get it.

They've bossed this second half in front of a bumper crowd.

Cardiff look pretty comfortable but will be keen to make this a five-pointer.

    Cardiff 22-13 Racing 92

A reminder that a Cardiff win will probably be enough to make the knockout stages of the Challenge Cup.

It'd leave Cheetahs needing to upset Ulster in the Netherlands tomorrow.

If Cardiff hold on then they will travel to Exeter looking to earn home advantage in the last 16.

Racing have been poor in the second half so Corniel van Zyl's side need to secure the spoils, and ideally get a fourth try.

    Sheedy

    A wise decision.

Cardiff get a penalty after Racing play the scrum-half and captain Liam Belcher points for the posts.

Callum Sheedy stretches the lead to nine points. Plenty of time to chase a fourth try.

Cardiff make some changes with props Corey Domachowski and Javan Sebastian on along with scrum-half Ellis Bevan.

The next score will be huge here.

One more try will get the Blue and Blacks a bonus point, although it would be interesting to see if they opt for the posts if a penalty chance comes along to stretch beyond a score.

The try came from the Stephens break, which set Cardiff up and they were patient.

Similar to the Rory Thornton try, just what they needed.

Cardiff's decision is the right one.

The forwards batter away at the line and then tight-head prop Keiron Assiratti goes over for his second try in Cardiff colours, with Alun Lawrence helping him over the line.

Sheedy converts and Cardiff are six points to the good.

A wonderful Cardiff attack from deep - seconds after a huge shot on centre Cornel Smit - sees Bowen and Beetham combine down the left.

The hosts are in the 22 and are able to hammer away before winning a penalty.

    Cardiff opt to tap.

Cardiff need a bit more penetration and to cut out the penalties.

Give Tom Bowen the ball, he’s keen and you can see the excitement of the crowd when he has it.

You need to break down this Racing team. The more you give them, the better they’ll be.

All to play for at the Arms Park and shortly afterwards in the Challenge Cup the Dragons hunt an upset at Benetton (17:30 GMT), with updates coming right here.

Filo Tiatia's side have won three of their last four but all the successes have been at Rodney Parade.

They are huge underdogs in Treviso and frankly it will be a boost if they come home with anything to show for their efforts ahead of a must-win game against Newcastle in Newport on Friday night.

The Red Bulls made it three from three by beating Perpignan earlier today.

Scarlets are the other Welsh side in action today with a Champions Cup date with Pau (20:00 GMT) as they hunt the last 16. Ospreys take on Zebre in Parma tomorrow.

It has been a frenetic half here at a chilly Arms Park with both sides needing victory to keep their Challenge Cup hopes alive.

One point in it. All to play for in the second half in front of a decent looking Cardiff crowd.

  15. Half-time: Cardiff 12-13 Racing 92published at 16:05 GMT 10 January

Callum Sheedy failed with the conversion so Cardiff trail by a point at the break.

They will be reasonably content with that because Racing have been the more lively side.

Two tries apiece and whoever has the better of the second half will be looking good for the knockout stages.

Eventually it's lock Rory Thornton that powers over.

Cardiff have been second best by a distance so far but have the chance to strike again before the break after a booming 50:22 by Jacob Beetham.

The line-out has wobbled, can they get one right?

It’s the threat from Carbonneau - when the penalties are on the halfway line, he just wants to go.

He cut the line so easily and with Racing's individual players, they turn the game on its head.

    Prisciantelli try

Racing with a tap penalty from halfway by scrum-half Leo Carbonneau and Selestino Ravutaumada is on his shoulder.

He races past defenders and goes very, very close.

The Parisians stay patient on the line and Geronimo Prisciantelli - man of the match in Argentina's win in Wales in the autumn - is put over.

A poor conversion though - how costly could these kicks be?

    Opportunity gone.

Cardiff regather the ball from a botched lineout but then follow with a knock-on.

They need to be better than that in the 'red zone'.
