CONVERTED TRY: Wigan 10-0 Hull KRpublished at 36 mins

    Jack Farrimond (con: Keighran)

    It counts!

Jack Farrimond has a second after a weaving run and a gap opened up next to the injured Mikey Lewis - no matter how good he is you can't carry passengers in this game - he looked like he couldn't step off his left foot to come inside to make the tackle.

The obstruction review was cleared by the video ref - it appeared to be the right call - and Adam Keighran does get his kick right this time to stretch the lead to 10.

  2. TRY REVIEWpublished at 35 mins

    Wigan 4-0 Hull KR

Wigan regain possession on their own line and are off like a shot and go all the way to the Hull KR tryline with Jack Farrimond crossing.

But it's being checked for obstruction by the video referee...

    Big call this.

    Wigan 4-0 Hull KR

    Oooh that was close!

Hull KR's Jack Broadbent is almost over the line as he spills it - but there's a penalty for offside and the Robins can come again.

    Wigan 4-0 Hull KR

It has just dropped a level in terms of intensity with those stoppages - and of course the weather conditions - but it won't be long until we're at full speed again.

A knock on by Wigan's Oli Partington there as he tried to burst into space.

    Here come Hull KR...

  5. 'A tough old game in these conditions'published at 15:44 BST 30 May

    Wigan 4-0 Hull KR

    John Kear
Former Bradford Bulls head coach on BBC One

You've got to admire Tom Amone, Elliot Minchella and Jez Litten. They've been held in that middle channel for the duration of this first half when the team has had less possession than the opposition and they've been under the pump.

But they're still turning up for each other.

This is a tough old game in these conditions.

  6. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Wigan 4-0 Hull KR

Hull KR's Oliver Gildart gives away a needless penalty to relieve the pressure for Wigan.

The stoppage in play means Mikey Lewis can get some treatment.

    He is limping quite heavily.

We're not sure exactly what that injury is of course, it could be a rolled ankle or dead leg - whatever it is, he is struggling.

One to keep an eye on in the last 10 minutes of this half.

  7. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Wigan 4-0 Hull KR

Mikey Lewis gets up a little gingerly from a tackle.

This doesn't look good for Hull KR's main man.

    Wigan 4-0 Hull KR

Time for a breather and to take some water on board.

    Everyone is feeling the heat.

Including it seems a very suave Martin Offiah who is fanning himself in the Wembley stands alongside Ellery Hanley.

Wigan clear the length of the pitch to ensure Hull KR will have to start their next set from their own line.

The intensity is off the scale and the Robins have had to make a lot of tackles in this heat - will they be feeling that a little later?

Wigan man Junior Nsemba is almost through a half-gap but a despairing grab of the shorts slows his momentum and the Robins' cover defence brings him down.

  10. 'Some tired legs out there'published at 15:33 BST 30 May

    Wigan 4-0 Hull KR

    Jonathan Davies
Former Warrington centre on BBC One

There's some tired legs out there and I don't blame them. It's so hot down there.

I think Mikey Lewis will be disappointed with some of his kicks, he'll want to improve that in the next 15 minutes.

Wigan have looked the more threatening, especially down the left-hand side.

The Wigan defence has just gone "No thank you, not today" to Hull KR, there.

    Sensational.

    Wigan 4-0 Hull KR

Here come Hull KR now as we see them in attack for the first time.

A high, hanging kick is spilled by Adam Keighran and Hull KR come again but as they do the Wigan man makes up for the error with a big tackle on Oliver Gildart.

Keighran is there again to take Mikey Lewis' kick a few moments later - what great defence from the Warriors but better signs for Hull KR who are getting themselves back in the game.

For all Wigan's dominance if Hull KR had managed a converted score there they would have been ahead.

Hull KR are hanging on here.

They haven't had any breaks yet, no field position and not much possession.

    They are hanging on, battling.

With all of that said, it's only four points.

  14. Postpublished at 15 mins

    Wigan 4-0 Hull KR

Wigan's Jake Wardle tries to power his way over but is held up over the line.

Hull KR are having to hang on and see off this dominant Wigan spell at present.

We've just had word that the Robins' Dean Hadley won't be coming back after that early head knock.

"Control it or I will" the ref says after a Wigan player high tackles someone off the ball. Control lost.

It can’t be a yellow card the whistle had already gone!

    This is brilliant stuff!

Jai Field looks like he's away as he races past tacklers but Hull KR's Mikey Lewis makes a crucial tap tackle to stop him in his tracks.

Field still manages to find Adam Keighran on the flank and his kick inside is inviting but the Robins just about have it covered!

It's a great watch so far.

Wigan's Harry Smith could be in trouble for a high tackle here...

It's undoubtedly high and around the neck but instead of reaching for his pocket, as the tv pundits were expecting it has to be said, the referee decides to bring the two captains together and make a plea for calmness.

Did Smith get lucky there? Let us know your thoughts!

But wait, what's gone on here...

Eight minutes in and we have another challenge now.

This time Wigan are claiming a high tackle by Tom Amone on Sam Walters.

And this time the video ref agrees and the challenge is successful.

Penalty only, but things are going Wigan's way in the early exchanges and they come forward again now with confidence.

    What a start by Wigan!

They've really come here to play. There's an edge to them there's a focus to them and their execution at the minute has been first class.
