Somebody of that strength, that stature and that speed...
As soon as Eva Hunter got the ball we knew what was coming.
Eva Hunter
Hat-trick!
Eva Hunter bashes her way though tired Saints tackles to score her third try of the contest.
Such power, speed and determination to score - no-one was stopping her there!
The difference in attack between Wigan and Saints has been like night and day.
Isobel Rowe hits the woodwork with the kick - not that it matters too much.
Hunter gets a hat-trick as she scores her third try
It's just not working in attack for St Helens today.
There was a chance there as they moved the ball wide but it's far too slow and Wigan are well set and eventually the move ends with Warriors intercepting.

An injury break for a couple of Saints players now allows the teams to get some water on board.
Katie Mottershead and Faye Gaskin are being given some treatment but both look ok to continue.

Wigan are defending quickly and tackling quickly giving no space then attack moving to gain ground at EVERY opportunity in play. Whereas Saints are slow in pass, covering, making themselves available to pass to, taking the ball at walking pace making little ground and making their game harder.

It really looks now for sure that this trophy will be remaining in Wigan's cabinet.

There is a breeze at Wembley now which is not unwelcome.
It's very warm. Maybe not quite to the level we've seen in the past week or so, but it's uncomfortable just sitting watching this. It's impressive to see that Wigan haven't taken their foot off the gas as they race in for yet another try.
Grace Banks
No such trouble for Wigan!
It's a simple numbers game as one pass takes out the bunched Saints backline allowing Grace Banks to sear through a yawning gap and go all the way to the line.
The confidence is flowing for Wigan and Saints are wilting.
Isabel Rowe can't add the extras this time.

It's just the way the game is going for Saints as the try is not given.
Video ref Liam Rush had a few looks at it and says Hoyle-Holdsworth lost it as she reached to dot it down.
The knock-on ruling makes it doubly dispiriting for St Helens.

Saints are on the charge and they think Shona Hoyle-Holdsworth has pushed her way over but it's going to be checked.

This is not going the way that the retiring Jodie Cunningham would have wanted but she is doing her best to drive St Helens forward.

It's a brilliant effort from the Saints defenders but Anna Davies is gone and she's in and out.
It's a perfect winger's try.
She's having a wow of a game, that's for sure. She just backs herself and it's a brilliant finish.
Anna Davies (con: Rowe)
What a try from Anna Davies who streaks away from tacklers who are left grasping at thin air as she races down the wing to score in the opening minute of the second half.
Normal service resumed.
Wigan have just looked faster and sharper all match and Saints desperately need a response.

Wigan with one hand on the trophy, can Saints mount what would be a truly remarkable turnaround?

It's been difficult for St Helens. They've not had much chance to be in Wigan's half, Wigan have pinned them which I'm assuming has been their game plan and they've really struggled to get out of that.
Defensively they look unconnected. So missing that connectiveness which builds trust, builds confidence within each other which ultimately saves tries.

I've got no words.
I thought last year Wigan were really dominant but this year they seem to have stepped it up a gear.
One thing that I'm just so impressed with is that they just seem to do the basics really well.

I said pre-kick-off that the weather might have an impact on this game.
Well I was wrong. Heat or not, Wigan absolutely raced out of the blocks and the game seldom slowed down.
Another year, however, and another massive deficit for St Helens to claw down in the second half.
Wigan have a hand on the trophy here and it'll take something big to stop them from lifting it for the second year in a row.

Wigan's five tries have put them in complete control of this one but Luci McColm's late score just before half-time for Saints probably gives Denis Betts something to talk about in the dressing room right now.
In the heat of Wembley, Wigan have acclimatised well to their surroundings and have confidently shown their class.
Anna Davies' try was arguably the pick of the five and Eva Hunter has shone with two scores of her own inside the opening 40 minutes.
