I wonder if the trainer is for the blisters on Nadal's hand, and there is a lot going on because he wants to go off court and he wants to drag the physio with him!

Lots of work for Rafael Nadal to do.

The Spaniard heads off court to change clothes at the end of the set, but he's also accompanied by his physio.

There was a slight change in Nadal's body language and approach towards the end of the first set, attempting more serve and volleying and appearing to pull out of one forehand so as to not overreach. Could the abdominal injury be bothering him?

This is a fourth-round thriller on Louis Armstrong Stadium.

If he goes for shots like that, Frances is going to get the crowd on his side. that was flashy.

Nadal is very much going to the far towel box, where the coaching team are.

    *Nadal 3-5 Tiafoe

Rafael Nadal is warm. Very warm. He's now taking the balls straight from the ball boys and girls between serves, rather than keeping any in his pocket, because of the amount he's sweating in the New York heat.

Frances Tiafoe sends a blistering backhand cross-court return into the corner for 30-30. He wants to end the set here!
